25.01.2022 EGG & SPINACH SAVOURY PANCAKE A meal for 1 (or 2) - great for breakfast or a quick dinner. Gluten & dairy free (optional). ... NUTRI-BULLET 1 free-range egg 1 Cup GF Plain flour 1 Cup Plant-based Milk 1 teaspoon Seaweed Salt 1 handful baby spinach OPTION 1 Tablespoon Nutritional Yeast plus juice of 1/2 a lemon (cheesy flavour) OR 1/2 Cup Feta - if you can tolerate dairy BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH I love the colour of this savoury pancake! Its so cool! FRY PAN Melt coconut oil over medium heat Pour savoury pancake mixture to cover the base of the pan (makes 1-2 pancakes, depending on how big your fry pan is) Cook 5 mins over medium heat Flip Cook for a further 2 mins SECOND FRY PAN While this is cooking, grab a second fry pan - whisk 2 eggs, a dash of plant based milk and a good pinch seaweed salt, pour into fry pan, over melted coconut oil, and fold gently as the egg white cooks Place savoury pancake onto a plate, place scrambled egg into the middle of the pancake, fold over the pancake and top with paprika. SERVE with a glass of bubbly raspberry water kefir! Dinner/breakfast done is less than 10 mins! 23.01.2022 I’ve been doing a bit of oral DIY!... I get sick of the healthy marketing to find there are still preservatives and other baddies in toothpastes, teeth whitening products and mouthwashes. So, I thought I’d back myself, do what I know is best and make my own...from wholefoods and organic natural ingredients. Mouthwash 5g Magnesium Flakes or Food Grade Epsom Salts... 350ml filtered water 2-3 drops doterra Peppermint Essential oil The white toothpaste and black activated charcoal tooth-whitening paste recipes were adapted from www.askthedentist.com I’ve chosen to store the white toothpaste in a silicon squeeze tube (recycle it, no plastic) from Anaconda and the activated charcoal tooth-whitening paste in a glass container suitable for a homemade moisturiser. Both are kept in the fridge and I just get them out prior to using them each day. I use the toothpaste as normal, but I either spit into the bin (as opposed to the sink) or spit down the sink and follow with a splash of white vinegar down the pipes. The toothpaste contains coconut oil, so this can build up in your pipes over time if you don’t use vinegar to wash it down. A new routine. A bit different. But I feel good knowing I’ve reduced my toxic load. I make this breakfast casserole while cooking the veggies for dinner. I then have 6 breakfasts organised - all for moi! Serve them into air-right containers and stack them up in the fridge. Warm them, then serve with cream (coconut or full-fat cows). Im totally fuelled until lunch! This mud mask is something I like to try to do weekly, but its usually a monthly occurrence! Bentonite clay has incredible detoxification benefits. Simply adding a bit of water to make paste and applying it to your face makes this process so easy. I sometimes add a few drops of doterra Tea Tree essential oil, too! This enhances the cleanse and ...purification properties. Leave the mask on for 20 mins or until it has gone hard (when you smile, it starts to crack!), then rinse and pat dry. Cook rice according to packet directions Rinse and wash 1 cup lentils - cook in a small pot with 3 cups water 20 mins. In a medium sized pot, add 2-3 Tb coconut oil or ghee, add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and a cinnamon stick, cook for 1 min Add chopped onion, garlic, long red chilli and ginger, cook 2-3 mins Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, paprika and cardamom powder, cook 1-2 mins. INGREDIENTS ... 1/2 cup each raw pumpkin seeds and cashews 1/4 cup raw almonds 2 Tb coconut oil* 4 Tb maple syrup, or to taste (add more or less) 4 Tb raw cacao powder* 2-3 Tb cacao butter 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder* 1/8 teaspoon seaweeds salt* Pinch ground cardamom OPTION 1 Tb organic Inca inchi protein powder* (I used this) *buy from my website via the Changing habits affiliate link www.threethousabdlemons.com.au METHOD 1. The choices Ive made have re-connected me to the power of nature, its gifts, its purposeful-filled design, and its ability to help all of us us heal. Im so thankful for this experience. INGREDIENTS 3 Tablespoons GF SRF or almond meal (if Grain free) 2 Tablespoons raw cacao powder 2 Organic Maple Syrup 2 Tablespoons Organic coconut oil, melted or Macadamia Oil 3 Tablespoons Milk (organic activated almond or full fat cows) Pinch seaweed salt OPTIONAL 1/2 banana, sliced 1. Relatively lower in carbs (than spuds), high in fibre, vitamins and minerals including Vitamin C, magnesium and folate, plus more. Par boil 2 handfuls yams 3-5 mins in seaweed salted water. Tip out the water. Add 100g organic butter to pot (with yams still in it), allow butter to melt, covering the yams. Bake 215 degrees Celsius fan-forced until golden. About 15 mins. 10.01.2022 So, Ive been presented with an concept during my lecture today - entomophagy AKA eating insects. Im assuming my reaction was similar to most Westerners..... eeeeewwwwwewwwewwww! But after learning about all of its benefits - particularly nutritionally & sustainability, I can understand the eagerness to make this an acceptable food source. It already is accepted in almost all parts of the world, except Western countries, where insects feed over 1 billion people a day provi...ding an incredible source of protein! It provides a source of income, requires a small amount of space to farm them, easy to harvest and they create unbelievable yield! Im not sure I could come at a plate of tarantulas, but some type of ground up insect in the form of flour would interest me to try. 10.01.2022 Lemon Almond Muffins These little beauties have been awesome for the school holidays - a quick and easy, yet filling snack. 4 eggs 2 teaspoons lemon zest ... 1/3 cup organic maple syrup 1 1/2 cups almond meal 2 Tablespoons coconut flour 1 teaspoon GF baking powder Pinch seaweed salt 1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius 2. Whisk eggs, zest and maple syrup until creamy 3. Add remaining ingredients, stir to combine 4. Pour into a silicon muffin tray 5. Grab one for morning or afternoon tea or eat a couple with soup or salad at lunch! 4 small zucchinis, grated... 2 carrots, grated 1 cup tasty cheese, grated 2 cups or 380g GF SRF 1/2 cup or 100g macadamia oil 10 free-range eggs 1 teaspoon seaweed salt 1 healed teaspoon vegetable powder stock 1. Mix all ingredients together, except half of the cheese, in a bowl 2. Spoon small amounts of the mixture into muffin holes 3. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top of each muffin 4. Top with a sprinkle of smoked or Hungarian paprika 5. Bake at 180 degrees, 30-35 mins 6. Cool on a wire rack 7. Serve warm with organic butter 8. 04.01.2022 TOTALLY RAW & TRANSPARENT - no makeup - check out my before photos of my face and hands. 02.01.2022 Choc Fudge Slice GF, DF, RSF, NF, EF My kids think theyre getting a treat. I know they getting two serves of veg!... Eating whole foods is a way of life. Its about putting the good stuff in, way more often then not, but it doesnt mean going without. We make our treats and eat them too! We just know exactly WHAT is in them. And you can too! If you can mash potato and blend stuff up in a blender, you can make this... 2 cups mashed / roasted sweet potato (Cooking roast veg? Throw in an extra sweet potato into the oven, whole. Once cooked, set it aside and scrape out the soft potato inside to use in this recipe. Roasting it caramelises the natural sugars, making it taste sweeter) 2 cans Organic Black Beans, rinsed and drained 1 cup Organic Cacao Powder 1 cup Organic Maple Syrup 2 teaspoons GF Baking Powder 2/3 cup Organic Coconut Oil 1 teaspoon Seaweed Salt 2 teaspoon Organic Vanilla Extract 1. Cook sweet potato (bake or boil), add to Thermomix or a good blender 2. Add all other ingredients, blend until smooth 3. Pour into a greased (use coconut oil) 1 large x rectangular or 2 small x square glass baking dish OPTION Top with cacao nibbs or crushed nuts of your choice (if you can eat nuts) 4. Bake at 180 degrees, 30-40 mins 5. Allow to cool in the dish on a wire rack 6. Transfer to the fridge for at least a few hours (this gives the best result) before eating, the slice will then set 7.
