23.01.2022 Another good article, once again parents/guardians have high expectations and grade their child with scores and letters..they do not allow their child to learn through play.. child are risk takers, learn differently and interact differently and certainly as parents we do not allow them to grow naturally... In this profession we see all sorts and I mean all sorts.. Little Johnny can read Harry Potter and he is three can we extend so he goes to University by 6 Little Johnny c...omes into care, reads beautiful but has no social skills, cannot feed himself, cannot interact or make conversation and mimics and copy’s everything the adult says and does... we before sending him to Uni at 6 need to teach him social skills otherwise this issue is going to end up with Little Johnny have mental health issues and he will end up with nothing and no future.. 23.01.2022 This is an awesome article and so spot on... I hear, see and have many parents/guardians desperate for answers regards behaviour issues for their child and PTSD is never really spoken about and followed through... most just want the label of Autism and in most cases you need to look back at the traumatic childhoods these children have lived, seen and been part of to realise that the child has and is under so much emotional, physical and verbal stress...

22.01.2022 Reading is one of the most important activities a child can be involved with... more important than bringing home that perfect piece of art that the teacher finishes so the parents are feeling happy that their child completed a perfect art piece...not! Read to your child, Sing to your child, allow your child to read to you, ask your child to recall the story with regards to the book you have read 50 times that week... it is so important in their development....
