24.01.2022 Congratulations to our future champions who were promoted today. Liam received his yellow band and William received a stripe on his yellow band. Lots more of our students are closing in on their next promotion. Keep up the great work everyone.

23.01.2022 Was great to have our Future Champions back for term 3. We still have a few spots available in both 4:30 and 5:30 sessions. If you have any little Champions from Kindy to year 7 who are interested in learning mixed martial arts, improving their fitness and self confidence all whilst having fun contact us to book a spot.

14.01.2022 THRIVE MMA FIGHTER OF THE YEAR 2019 Steve Phillips Steve had his first taste of combat in the octagon on WRFN4. Steve had an absolute war of a fight and unfortunately reopened a cut on his eyebrow that he had received in training only 2 weeks earlier. The cut was bleeding into his eye and the Dr called the fight. Steve unfortunately missed out on WRFN5 however he was determined to get back in the cage. Steve was training his guts out and we got at Match on Storm Damage in Ca...nberra. Steve brings an edge of competition to class, he has a never say die attitude and always pushes everyone to bring out their best. Steve made fight weight, Steve listened to everything that came from his corner. Steve stuck to his game plan that we had worked on. Steve had another absolute war and came away with the win. 10.01.2022 THRIVE MMA STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2019 Linda Nappa Linda was Miss consistent, Linda hardly missed a class. Linda was more often than not the only female in attendance and that didnt phase her one bit. Her small stature was often a disadvantage when wrestling larger foe. However for such a little package she could sure pack a punch. She is incredibly strong both physically and mentally and would train with a passion and determination unmatched. Linda has shown unbelievable tena...city, continually rising for another match. Linda has made such progress and her wrestling has become something to rival. Linda has shown what it really takes to a true martial artist, she has shown courage and determination, she has been consistent and always put in her best effort, she has shown patience and acceptance and she never leaves anything in the tank. Be like Linda people she has why it takes. Congratulations Linda. This was any easy choice. You are in a league of your own. See more

08.01.2022 FUTURE CHAMPION OF THE YEAR 2019 Sam Hazel Sam completed all 4 Terms of the Future Champions MMA program. Sam also completed a personal training program in Terms 3 and 4. Sam progressed through the ranks and eared his Green Belt under the BMMMAC system. Sam continuously demonstrates the behaviours of a champion; Respectful, Responsible and Reliable. We are hoping to get some training videos done soon for both our adults and future champions. We hope everyone stays healthy and we look forward to seeing you all back on the mats soon.

04.01.2022 THRIVE MMA MVP 2019 Caleb Traish Caleb has had an extremely busy 2019. Caleb took the reigns of our Future Champions program in 2019 and has been a fantastic roll model for all in attendance. Caleb also took a lead in devising torturous fitness routines for our MMA Fitness program. Whilst he would push through these tiresome routines he would motivate and encourage everyone to do their best. He would often get through 5 rounds reaching higher reps than anyone else before he ...would even shed a drop of sweat. Whilst most of us were dripping wet by the 3rd. Caleb was always happy to help demonstrate techniques in the adult classes and would often run these classes on his own if I had other commitments. Caleb was not shy of helping with cleaning chores often sweeping and mopping the gym floor and tidying the store room. Caleb also attended many fight nights and would run around doing everything in his power to make sure things ran smoothly. I am incredibly proud of this young man and am forever grateful for all the effort he puts into our gym. All this whilst completing year 11 and a Cert 2 in Animal Studies at TAFE, playing the lead role in the LHS Musical Grease Yeah I play Danny Zuko famously quoted on the local news and delivering delicious Dominos Pizzas to many a happy customer.
