11.01.2022 It’s that post-workout feeling!! Nothing beats it I’m absolutely loving these early morning classes. It really sets off our day on the right foot. 07.01.2022 2 days until the THRIVE 8 Week Program starts! I love that I have the energy and drive to get up and go do things on the weekend! Going exploring is one of my favourite things to do. I used to see people running along the beach and think:... - 'how are they doing that? I would die after 20 seconds', - 'I could never do that', - 'I'm not that type of person', - 'I'd rather be in bed' lol. Truth is, they are all excuses and limiting beliefs that I was placing on myself. Me saying those things to myself was stopping me from living to my full potential. Because, if I wanted to run along the beach, all I'd have to do is exercise 3x per week and build up my fitness. And stay consistent with it, every week. So that's what I did. Now I can actually go for a casual run and bloody ENJOY IT. 03.01.2022 I want to explain some terms to you that I use during THRIVE. Hopefully this will help you feel a little more comfortable as we get started. WORK. Work is the time (in seconds) that you will be working or, in other words, performing the given exercise. REST. Rest is the time (in seconds) that you will be resting at your current Station waiting for the next Work period to begin, OR the time that you will be moving to your next Station.... STATION. Refers to the numbered markers on the ground. Each Station has a corresponding exercise which will be written on the whiteboard at the front of the class. SETS. Sets dictate how many times you will Work at a Station, before moving onto the next Station. PODS. Sometimes Stations will be grouped together in Pods. You will do one Pod before moving onto the next. LAPS. Refers to how many times you will repeat a Pod. HYDRATION BREAK. A hydration break occurs between Pods. This is where you leave the workout space to go and get your water bottle for a drink. A Hydration Break is anywhere from 40 to 60 seconds long. It can definitely be confusing hearing all these terms for the first time. But don't worry, you will get the hang of it! 02.01.2022 The way you think will have a direct impact on your behaviour, health and results. So, what are you thinking when you workout? I ask this because when starting a new exercise routine, it can be easy to slip into a negative train of thought.... Example: 'I'm so weak' 'I'm so unfit' 'I'm not cut out for this' 'I have no balance' 'I'm not a fit person' But let’s be real for a second... if you haven’t been prioritizing your fitness, you’re not going to be super fit, strong or balanced! Simple as that. So, take it easy on yourself and minimize that negative chatter. Replace it with: ‘I’m doing my best’ 'I showed up today and I'm moving my body' ‘I’m going to get good at this over time’ ‘I’m proud of myself for being here’ 'Lots of achievements are waiting for me' When you're working out, remember that you’re exactly where you need to be. Doing exactly what you need to do, to become a better version of yourself.

01.01.2022 I had some amazing feedback from my member, Sally, this morning. It put the biggest smile on my dial. She said that over the weekend, she was able to play with her grandson on the ground and chase him around. Just 2 weeks ago she wouldn’t have been able to do that. She simply couldn’t get up and down from the ground. It goes to show that a little bit of effort can go a long way to improving your quality of life. After just 2 weeks of training imagine how much joy that woul...d have brought her. It’s never too late to create the person you want to be. For yourself and those around you.
