25.01.2022 3rd December is International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD). We want to share a poem written by Oliver Mills, a young South Aussie who lives with cerebral palsy, and is the artist who designed this year’s pin for IDPwD that you may have seen around our community in the last few weeks! "People think I can’t walk.... Can’t talk, can’t dance, Can’t write, can’t paint, Can’t create. People think I can’t communicate. They think I can’t see them, Or hear them talking about me. People ignore me. Children stare. I can’t stand being talked down to. I understand everything you say. See me, Talk to me, Hear me."
