24.01.2022 #mindsettip We heard it a million times, Its the Journey not the destination. But what does that really mean? It does not mean the destination isnt important, ... it doesnt mean its not nice or enjoyable reaching it. It does not mean the destination doesnt hold value, but the destination also is not the be all and end all. It is but one moment on the journey, and in order to get to the one moment you had to go through many moments of learning, growing and expereince. It is these expereinces that make the destination so sweet. but whats more, if you added up all of those moments of expereince along the way, they ultimately hold a lot more value than the one moment when you go tick, ive achieved that now. And finally, most people have an expectation that when i get there, (where ever that is) then ill be happy. Well i can tell you if you are not enjoying the journey, the joy of the destination will be very short lived. See more

Start a... habit that creates and maintains a healthier happier mindset, that sets up the day and the rest of your life. You will of course still experience ups and downs but you will be in a better place to respond, rectify and regain balance if you have healthy morning mindset ritual already established. It may require getting up a little earlier than you used to but your mind body and spirit will thank you for it. See more

15.01.2022 #MINDSETTIP Its okay to have a bad day. Just because you feel bad doesnt mean you are bad- a failure, less worthy, not good enough. And yet through our societa...l and familial conditioning, we are taught that its not okay to have a bad day, to feel crummy today. And if you are you need to do something to change that immediately. Or.... you could just allow yourself to feel bad today. Knowing that its just an emotion, it will pass and it means nothing about you as a person. In fact, and herein lies the irony, when you allow your self to just feel what you are feeling, when you are okay with having a bad, well you tend to feel okay. 12.01.2022 #mindsettip S.A.D. Stress, Anxiety and Depression.... These are not things you HAVE, they are things you DO. In order to be depressed you need to think, talk and act in certain way. We don't do this consciously of course, these are unconscious patterns we have learnt and practiced until they have become a habit. If SAD is something we have learnt, what does this presuppose? That we can learn to DO something different, and when we have practiced that enough, that will become our default go-to pattern for dealing with life. However if someone believes that going beyond their comfort zone means they might make a mistake, which means they don't get it right and they look stupid, or they wont be able to control what happens outside of their C Zone, then some sort of fear, or anxiety (stress) will occur. 09.01.2022 #MINDSETTIP In one of the biggest studies ever done (and is still going), Harvard University have tracked a group of people for over 70 years now. One of the bi...ggest discoveries was the correlation between genuine connection with others and happiness. Thos people that had at least one special deep connection with someone, whether a spouse, friend, family member or even a pet, tended to be happy in general. During tough times a common defence mechanism is to shut down. That just exacerbates the pain, reach out talk to someone, let someone in or take the dog for a walk. It will help you feel better. 08.01.2022 Ahh, Mindless entertainment... If only the effects of unconsciously absorbing the information from media was so harmless. REMEMBER, it is the inaccurate information, stories, fear campaigns, propaganda and the like that dramatically reinforces our Inaccurate views and Beliefs in life. This information directly adds to and influences our Stress, Fear and Anxiety about life. There is nothing wrong per se with entertainment, but don't be fooled thinking that the information your brain is receiving has no effect on ones health. Sometimes when you are struggling with your mind and your... emotions, when you are feeling down, dark and heavy, Its easier to focus on the body for some releif. We all know we feel better after a long strong walk, and thats because its moves your body, which shifts the energy and triggers different hormones and chemicals. When I rail agains...t this I get stressed worried and overwhelmed. However, when I surrender ( allow and accept)to the moment/situation the stress alleviates. I still have to take action but I am no longer attached to the outcome. More importantly I am not wasting energy trying to fight something that cannot be changed. See more

Of course the event plays a role, it triggers our beliefs, it... triggers the meaning we are giving the event, It is our beliefs and meanings that tell our bodies what hormones anc chemicals to release in order to feel the stress.
