22.01.2022 Im writing to check in and see how youre doing in these uncertain times? Clinic is still OPEN and Im here to provide you with any support you may need. As you know, the COVID-19 situation is changing quickly. Im keeping up to date with the latest advice from the Federal and State Governments and my professional association (ANTA). Id like to reassure you of the measures that are in place in clinic to reduce the spread. Clinic measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19... Surfaces are wiped with disinfectant regularly throughout the day (doorknobs, light switches, etc) Hand sanitiser and tissues are in clinic for your use. I wash my hands after each client (I always do but this is a good time to reassure you of this fact!) Ive removed the blankets from the treatment table and wipe the table with disinfectant after each client. Water glasses are of course thoroughly washed but youre welcome to bring your own water if you feel more comfortable. Not seeing any clients with any flu-like symptoms or who are required to self-isolate (if this is you and you have an appointment booked, please let me know). If youre feeling unwell/have flu-like symptoms and arent sure what to do, visit the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) or call the Coronavirus Health Information Hotline (open 24/7) on 1800 020 080. I acknowledge this is a difficult time for many and there are legitimate concerns around physical safety, financial security and planning for the future. The unknown can be scary and this has fuelled a tonne of panic in the community. In addition to following expert advice (hand hygiene, social distancing, self-isolating), here I share my top tips for navigating this uncertain time as well as how I can support you. Ill be in touch with any changes as they come to hand. Bookings can be made by getting in touch with me directly. Be well, be calm, be kind.

21.01.2022 As part of the holistic approach, I use a raw organic cocoa butter and coconut oil mixture as my standard massage oil. I also have almond oil, essential oils, and for those after a special treat (for an extra $5.00) pure jojoba oil. 'if you cannot eat it, do not put it on your skin' is a pretty good approach to anything you apply to your largest organ. :)

20.01.2022 Have a look at what Michael Mosely has discovered about massage and WHY you SHOULD have MORE massage :)

17.01.2022 Deep Tissue Massage: more intense than a relaxation massage aiming to get to those deep set muscle aches and pains releasing all the stress that has been building for a while. Remedial Massage: aimed more at injury treatment and prevention, remedial massage focuses on a smaller area of the body aiming to maximise recovery. Sports Massage: Pre and post event massage can be aimed at loosening the body and increasing your range of motion to maximise your results, or it can be us...ed to minimise your recovery time, helping the body overcome the rigors of the event. Pregnancy Massage: Pregnancy and post-natal massage are performed by a therapist with specialist training in the pregnant and immediate postnatal body. Recommended to ease some of the aches and pains caused by the pressures of pregnancy. A pregnancy pillow is available for your comfort. Myotherapy Myotherapy is a highly successful way to reduce muscular pain and optimise muscle performance. Myotherapists are specialists in musculoskeletal conditions, using a variety of techniques to assess, treat and prevent muscular pain and dysfunction.

15.01.2022 Love your body it is the only place you have to live.

13.01.2022 I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year. Just a quick note to remind you, a number of private health insurance funds (such as NIB, Bupa, Medibank, AHM, Defence Health, etc). 'reset' their benefits at the start of the new year. Insurance providers allocate a maximum amount of rebate benefit each year to cover different types of treatments including remedial/myotherapy massage. If the benefit amount is not fully used up at the end of the year it does not rollover into the new year. This means that you are literally missing out and your premiums are going to waste. Take advantage of your health fund rebates and book in a massage. You can book your massages now with a quick call/text on 0413658948.

13.01.2022 Deep Tissue/ Remedial Massage: Remedial massage is a therapeutic style of massage therapy, where deeper pressure and specialised massage techniques are incorporated (such as trigger point therapy) to help treat a range of health conditions. These techniques are utilised to reduce muscular tension and pain which can occur due to bad posture, overuse of a joint, sports injuries or muscular tension from stress.
