23.01.2022 I found myself caught up in worry this morning, wondering about something in the future. I caught an old familiar thought just as it was rising up - ‘I'm not good enough’ Suddenly I came back into the moment, recognising an old self-critical pattern that in years past would have had me stressing and getting more stressed by the minute. What helped me bounce back to this NOW moment? The wonderful resilience-building skill of present-moment awareness. Cultivated over time, thr...ough quiet practice, this awareness has helped me recognise when my mind goes off into the automatic thoughts, worries, plans, memories that so often take over moment-by-moment experience. Even though I don’t always have an immediate solution to the dilemmas that life seems to deliver on a daily basis, I feel calmer inside knowing I have this skill to be present, which is where creative thinking and action arise from. While the evening Kangarilla yoga class has been going since early September, the morning Willunga class is just getting going again, commencing this WEDNESDAY 14 OCTOBER, 9.30-11am.
