22.01.2022 1997 Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car Just like every car homologated for GT1 class in 90’s, the Jaguar XJR-15 brother (), TWR-Nissan R390 project should have one spec made for streets. In 1997, at the same time of the Le Mans spec, they made a capped version, with 500ps, proper homologated for road-going purposes and as a development car for its race spec. But it was just homologation, once Nissan never had intentions to sell the car to the average public (although it was suppose t...hat the marker could built one for you if you had a cash of just US$1 million. Unfortunately it never happened). At the time, the car was declared one of fastest road cars ever made with a quick acceleration (100km/h in 4 secs) and top speed (about 350-355km/h). Just like the LM spec, powered by the TWR-tuned 3.5L V8 Twin-turbocharged VRH35L, delivering all the power to the rear-axle. The road spec also had the sequential gearbox from the LM. According to a forum on the internet and ex-TWR employers, this car, after 1997 and the homologations’ approval, has been scrapped with many parts being used in the 1998 racing version. For its replacement, Nissan provided that blue version of the R390, based on the 1998 model. 15.01.2022 Here's an interesting one! 199 SZ 5SPD Manual 1994 Supra - Recently sold at auctions in japan. This was a terrible example with the auction report pointing out possible faulty ECU and an immovable vehicle with rust identified. This was a dealer trade in car and its first time ever being auctioned. Started at $3,900~ starting bid and ended selling for $24,745~AUD... this does not include any export costs purely auction sale price. We are starting to see poor examples that don't even run touching very high numbers.

06.01.2022 Buy This Nissan 300ZX IMSA GTO Race Car and Relive a Time When Nissan Kicked Ass Nissan has left the cool kids hanging for years, pushing back its new Z-car until 2023 and ditching many of its racing programs. Why wait three more years to buy another Z? Thanks to the fine folks at Stratas Auctions, you could buy one of the raddest Nissan Z-cars ever made: a race-ready 1989 300ZX IMSA GTO car. Like the roadgoing Nissan 300ZX, the IMSA GTO-class 300ZX has a twin-turbo 3.0-lite...r V6. Unlike the road car, the IMSA GTO 300ZX pumps out over 700 horsepower. That race-tuned engine mates up to a five-speed manual transmission with a quick-change rear end housing specially designed to make it in and out of the service bay as quickly as possible by Clayton Cunningham Racing. It also kept the iconic red, white and blue Nissan livery from the era that we know and love. This is an endurance racer, so there are working headlights and taillights. Surprisingly, Stratas Auctions claims that the car has never been crashed. This particular IMSA GTO 300ZX is race-winning chassis No. 002. Per the auction listing, Nissan started running its then-new Z32-generation 300ZX in IMSA's GTO class in 1989, and chassis No. 002 was part of that first season. Clayton Cunningham Racing built seven of these factory-backed 300ZX race cars for enduance racing between 1989 and 1995, and they proved to be extremely successful race cars. These 300ZX race cars won the 1994 24 Hours of Daytona overall, won its class at the 1994 24 Hours of Le Mans, and won IMSA Manufacturer's and Driver's championships in 1992 and 1994. (Man, remember when Nissan actually did well at Le Mans? Good times, good times.) Chassis No. 002 was no exception to this streak of domination. Cunningham Racing took No. 002 to seven top-five finishes in its debut year. Nissan's most successful driver at the time, John Morton, got its best result in 1989: a third place at Mid-Ohio. With that in mind, this could be the best Nissan Z-car you could buyor at least the most enjoyable.
