22.01.2022 The Road Not Taken Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could... To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. - by Robert Frost

22.01.2022 Brisbane dinghy docks. Not too shabby Brisbane - today we did our usual reconnaissance in our dinghy to sort out the lay of the land - or in this case the river - and the results were spectacular. This first photo is the recreational hub in New Farm, next to the fabulous arty Watt Powerhouse Centre and 100m from the longest and best Moreton Bay Fig tree house playground (seriously good for kids). I mean it’s like a mini marina, but only for short stays, no water or power. A d...inghy dock. There are another 6 of these along excellent tourist stops including at Southbank with its free and wonderful water parks - photos 2 and 3. While I do not want to sound like a gushing tourist, I am seriously impressed. My question is how long until the locals find out about these amazing facilities? #brisvegas #sailingfamily #dinghydocks #brisbane #thingsthatmattertosailors @ Brisbane, Queensland, Australia See more

11.01.2022 Likes Bows & Arrows. Currently into this steel blade she found at the base of a big fig tree. Says she will turn it into a spear when she gets it sharp enough. Avalon lives half her life in the world of magic and mystery through her love of reading. So, with this latest find, her brothers should be on guard! #fightlikeagirl .

03.01.2022 Looking up. I love the look of sails aloft, flowing and snapping with the wind, a representation of freedom, adventure and futures unknown. It is the embodiment of everything I love - almost - because it turns out I love my family more. My children have returned to school, the bricks and mortar type; they are happy and excited, bursting with stories of new friends, possibilities, clubs, sport teams to try, debating! They have landed, it seems, and their feet are firmly back ...on the ground. The kids and Craig really are my favourite people, so me with my little grieving heart for our boat life seemingly past, is minor in comparison. Along with the acknowledgement of how much a first world problem missing my boat actually is. Especially during this pandemic time where other families are in real jeopardy. So I’m sad but also hopeful for the future. Thé essence of life - a mix of happy and sad, highs and lows, life and death. And the parts in the middle, during a transition, where you feel all of it acutely. #life #philosophy #newbeginnings See more

02.01.2022 Living at Dockside. Brisbane’s moniker is the River City and it has grown into just that during the last decade. There are multitude recreational dinghy docks along the river, amazing restaurants and parks, the free Southbank pool and a general tropical, easy going vibe. We are at the Dockside marina, staying on our boat for now. #sailinglifestyle #brisbane #rivercity
