25.01.2022 Todd Mullis https://lensofstatementanalysis.blogspot.com Todd Mullis reported that he found his wife impaled on a corn fork at the couple’s pig farm in Earlville, Iowa. ... Instead of calling 911 immediately, he removed the fork from her body, put her into his truck and started to drive her to the hospital with his thirteen-year-old son. He stated this was because he was a doer and at the time, he thought it was the best thing to do. He also claims he did not know that if someone is impaled that it is not a good idea to remove the object without medical assistance. https://lensofstatementanalysis.blogspot.com While on route he called 911 and was met by the police. Amy Mullis was dead. An agent who questioned Mullis said in court that during questioning the subject did not deny killing his wife. The subject would have known he was under suspicion and was being accused. The innocent will tell us so. To deny an allegation when you did not do it, usually comes early and often. How did Mullis speak to this in court. https://lensofstatementanalysis.blogspot.com

22.01.2022 Statement Analysis of Henry Keogh Just over a year ago Channel 7’s current affairs and news programme Sunday Night aired an episode on Henry Keogh. Henry was convicted of Murdering his 29 year old fiancée, Anna-Jane Cheyney in 1994. Henry spent 20 years of his 26 year sentence in prison before being released on appeal.... In June 2018 Henry received $2.57 Million dollars in compensation. He complained that this was not enough and revealed that he had asked for $6 Million. More than 7000 sunrises and sunsets that I never saw, he said. "I believe I'm owed a debt for this nightmare, as is my family, as is Anna-Jane, who deserves better to be falsely remembered as the woman killed by the man she loved, and the man who loved her." When someone speaks publicly it is expected that we will form an opinion about the topic that the person is speaking about. We are entitled to that opinion and we are entitled to share our opinions with others, at least for the moment. As we go further into Statement Analysis our gut instincts and what we thought we knew to be true are sometimes challenged. Those we may have thought to be truthful will use language of deception and those we thought to be the bad guys, or liars will be the ones who are telling the truth. We can be deceived especially when an emotional response is triggered. Always be careful if an emotional response is sought after. Advice that was given to me a few years ago that has proven itself a few times now is Go with the analysis. If your gut and analysis clash, go with the analysis. The main reason for this is simple. Your opinion is your own. The analysis is from the subject. The subject is the one with the information. In a fraction of a second the subject must go into his internal subjective dictionary and pick out the words to use, which to leave out and what order to put them in. A direct lie is stressful to the brain and will, for 90 percent of people be avoided at all costs. We allow the subject to tell us what happened. Those who are deceptive want us to interpret their words to conclude their innocence. We do not. What can we glean from the interview with Henry Keogh? Is he a man falsely accused who then spent a large portion of his adult life behind bars, or did the police get it right and he is guilty of murder? As always, we begin with the premise that the subject (Henry) is telling the truth. In order for us to change our mind he must talk us out of this position. Below is the transcript of the interview. How it has been cut and edited we do not know but we know that it is, and it must be treated as contaminated to some degree. I will refer to Henry as the subject in the analysis. Henry I still sometimes feel like I’m the outside looking in. To read more please visit https://lensofstatementanalysis.blogspot.com

22.01.2022 Christopher Halliwell Embedded Confession? Christopher Halliwell was jailed for life for the murder of 22 year old Sian who disappeared from Swindon in 2011. He was also accused of murdering Becky Godden- Edwards but the charge was withdrawn following a high court ruling even though he led police to her body. This is a transcript of the notes taken by Debbie Peach, a civilian police worker, of an interview between Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher and Christopher Halliw...ell. The nine-minute grilling took place at Barbury Castle in rural Wiltshire when the experienced detective asked Halliwell, who he had not cautioned or offered a solicitor, to confess to where missing Sian O'Callaghan was. Within Halliwell’s words are what we call a possible Embedded confession. A truly innocent person will not likely form the words of guilt from their own free editing process. It is different if they are quoting someone else for example He said I did it is not an embedded confession. The subject is simply quoting someone else. The words must come from the subject themselves. The brain knows what it knows and sometimes words spill out in the free editing process. If we are listening carefully we can catch these escaping words. In analysis we note the possible embedded confession and it becomes another clue in the analysis. It is unlikely that we would mark the subject as deceptive from this alone. Christopher Halliwell - The interview The transcript was read during a pre-trial court hearing and the accuracy was not disputed. SF (Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher): Are you going to tell me where Sian is? CH (Christopher Halliwell): I don't know anything. SF: Are you going to show me where Sian is? What's going to happen. If you tell us where Sian is - that whatever you will be portrayed - you would have done the right thing. CH: I want to go to the station. SF: Are you prepared to tell me where Sian is? CH: You think I did it. SF: I know you did it. CH: Can I go to the station? SF: You can go to the station. What will happen is that you will be vilified. If you tell me where Sian is you would have done the right thing. CH: I want to speak to a solicitor. Eventually new evidence was found and Halliwell was prosecuted for Becky’s murder. The Police believe he may be responsible for more murders over the past decade. https://lensofstatementanalysis.blogspot.com

19.01.2022 Qasim Rashid "MY ties with terrorism" An article in PJ Media this week highlights an argument between two candidates running for the Virginia State Senate in the US. The first Qasim Rashid, an Ahmedi Muslim is enraged that his Republican opponent Richard Stuart put out an add with a picture of Rashid and the caption QASIM RASHID DOESN’T BELIEVE ISLAMIC TERRORISM EXISTS.... Despite a tweet from Rashid in 2018 declaring There is no such thing as Islamic Terrorism. Terrorism has no religion. Rashid hit back in a video last week where he said My Republican opponent is launching anti-Muslim Islamophobic attacks against me questioning my loyalty to the United States and questioning my ties with terrorism, I mean the most ridiculous, meritless claims that are imaginable. Pronouns are instinctive, intuitive and learnt from a very early age. We take ownership of what we want. Even a toddler knows when to say my or mine. My daddy, my teddy, my dinner, or with even more gusto and waving of arms my ice cream!. If someone claims ownership of something with the pronoun my or mine we do not argue with them. We do not interpret it as something else. We believe the subject. Their brain knows what it knows and in a fraction of a second they have chosen the words to use. When accused of not believing in Islamic Terrorism what does Rashid tell us? Where does his mind go? What is it that he takes ownership of? 1. My Republican opponent 2. My loyalty 3. My ties with terrorism He does not tell us that he did not tweet the statement or what his beliefs are. He moves away from the accusation and hides in the crowd claiming Islamophobia and anti-Muslim attacks. The third use of the pronoun my by Rashid is to take ownership of ties with terrorism. What are these ties? Where has this come from? Rashid should be investigated to find out what ties he has and who they are. Note that he does not deny that he has ties with terrorism. It is only the questioning of such that his brain in a fraction of a second has moved to defend. From there Rashid demonstrates a need to persuade that the accusations are not true. I mean just the most ridiculous, meritless claims that are imaginable. This is an unreliable denial with a severe need to persuade. It is weak and he should be investigated. 18.01.2022 Tess Knight When a child goes missing there are things that we expect to hear in the language of the biological parents. The main thing we expect to hear is concern for the missing child. Parents with guilty knowledge, frequently demonstrate concern for themselves above that of the child. If a child goes missing even for a short period of time, and is then found safe and well, the hormonal imprint on the brain will remain. The parent will likely find themselves waking up in... the middle of the night in panic regardless of the child being safe. Tess Knight, the mother of Samantha Knight who was murdered by paedophile Michael Guider in in 1986 demonstrates this language even now after many years. The quotes are taken from an article in Woman’s Day. Tess spoke in court last month before Guider was released. She tells of the sleepless nights she still has to this day. "Did she struggle? Where did he take her?" The unanswered questions. The details of what Sam would have experienced. "Was it a long drive? Did she call for me as she died? What did she say? Did she wonder why I wasn't there to help her? Did she say 'I want Mummy'? Did she tell him 'I want to go home'?" The details that haunt Tess still, are the expected language from a truthful and grieving mother. Her concern has always been and remains for her daughter and what she went through. Every horrible detail. Note how personal her words are not for herself but for Sam. The theme of her words remains the same. Concern for her daughter and guilt for not being there which she embeds within her words. "I imagine all these things in detail," Tess told a hearing to determine whether NSW Attorney-General Mark Speakman can keep the convicted serial paedophile behind bars, even though his prison term ran out earlier this year, on June 6. "This man has been a dangerous, serious sexual predator of children. Whatever remorse he may show, it was not enough to change his behaviour in the past and it is not enough for the future," warned Tess, begging the court, "Please don't release this man into the community." The subjects concern includes those in the community. It is not revenge that motivates her actions now. It is continued concern for others. Michael Anthony Guider was imprisoned on sixty charges of child sexual abuse in 1996. He received an additional sentence in 2002 for the manslaughter of 9 year-old Sydney girl Samantha Knight, who disappeared from Bondi, New South Wales in 1986 Guider was released on the 5th September 2019 subject to a 5 year supervision order. https://lensofstatementanalysis.blogspot.com

The Aston Villa captain took to twitter to make his apology. Does he apologize? Remember, we cannot say things for a subject. We do not interpret. We listen to what the subject says himself. Hi everybody. I just want to do a quick video message just to say how deeply embarrassed I am by about what’s happened this weekend.
