11.01.2022 I was talking to someone today about the mood you’re in when painting and how that is reflected within the painting itself. I can always look back at my paintings and know exactly what I was feeling that day. It’s a beautiful thing... to capture someone’s emotions, heart and soul on a canvas. It’s very deep and personal. A lot of my best work comes when I can match my mood with the perfect music and get lost within it all. My head is silent and my heart takes over. Often when I finish I feel like I am waking back up out of a trance like state. It doesn’t matter my mood or energy, this is what I walk into the studio aiming to achieve each day. ‘Deep Earth’ - Featuring charcoal, coffee and earth .
