25.01.2022 Howdy guys, just a reminder that our Junior programs kicking off this Sunday 4th Feb at 8.30am till 10.00am. All juniors must be either a social or full junior golf member of the club to attend. All coaching session are Free. All notification for junior golf will be posted on this page, such as cancelation due to weather or special club events. If in doubt just ring the Pro shop to confirm if golf is on or off. ... Junior Academy starts for girls on Tuesday 6th February and for boys Wednesday 7th February from 4.00pm to 5.30pm. 22.01.2022 The North Eastern Junior Golf Tournament was held today at the Mrytleford GC. It was a cold start but warmed to a great day for golf. Thurgoona junior's were the winners. 9 year old Isabella Webb won the 9 Holes & and Bryan Filliponi took out the 18 holes Stableford Comp with 32pts. Well done guys, that was a great effort. ... The next Event is the last one for 2017, it's at Bright GC on Sunday 3rd December. I hope you can all attend. 20.01.2022 Hi Junior Golfer's, Sunday golf starts again on 15th October at 8.30am to 10.00am. I have the mygolf registration form at the club and I will send off a bulk entry once everyone has registered. Please don't register online. We get a reduced price from our district association MDGA. Past and new kids are all welcome to rock up,... the more the better. We have lots of age appropriate equipment so come along and try golf. Remember, Its a Game for Life Cheers See more

20.01.2022 Hi Everyone Just a reminder that we have our last North East Junior Tournament coming up soon . This event will be held at Bright , 3rd of December . Muster will be at 9.00 . There will be a cost of $10.00 including lunch . In conjunction with this event will be the North East Junior Girls Championship. All golfers will need to find there own way of transport, If Lift is needed please contact Penny at Thurgoona .... All juniors welcome as we have 9&18 hole comps running . Hope to see you all there ! We kick them off with the Thurgoona day on Monday the 8th January then down to Howlong on Monday 15th and finish with Corowa hosting theirs on Monday 22rd January. 18.01.2022 This Saturday 28th the Thurgoona gang along with Albury City &Drummond Golf will be running a Mygolf clinic for families to come and have a go at golf. We are promoting the NSW SENIOR MENS OPEN which is being played at Thurgoona GC from the 2nd to the 4th November. Their will be lots to do, see and give away so we hope to see lots of families popping down to say hello. Cheers

18.01.2022 There is a North Eastern District Junior Golf Tournament coming up on Sunday 10th September at Mrytleford GC. 12.01.2022 Don't forget the first of our junior golf series is this Monday 8th January at Thurgoona Country Club Resort. Entry forms are in the Pro Shop and on our Facebook pages, you can play in as many of the three rounds as you like. These events are open to juniors aged 8-14, capable of playing modified 9 holes. We hope to see you there!

11.01.2022 Today we traveled to Howlong to play in the 2nd round of the Top of the Murray 9 Hole junior Tournament. 28 juniors took part on the modified short course and some pretty good scores were posted at the end of play. The winner of the girls short course was the youngest competitor in the comp, from Thurgoona 7 year old Emily Mattson with a nett 29. Runner Up was Lily Fitzgerald also from Thurgoona with a nett 31. Good scores girls. The boys short course winner was Jonathan ...Biddle from Corowa with a nett 26, runner up was Toby Hoskin from Howlong with a nett 27, great score guys, well done. The long course winner was Thurgoona left hander Josh Smith with a nett 29 and the Runner up was Tom Meerton from Corowa with a nett 39. great job boys. A big thank you to Howlong County Club for their wonderful hospitality they extended to us all and to Tim in the Pro shop for his support in helping organise the Event. 10.01.2022 Today we played our Junior /Adult 4 person Ambrose Tournament. It was a great day of golf with some pretty hot golf played by our young guns. The winners were the father's and daughter's team of 9year old Isabella Webb & dad Cade and 8 yr old Ella Dl Stefano and dad Mark. Their score was a fantastic 5 under par 67 nett 53. Well done guys. The Runner UpTeam was from Howlong . Glenda Hoskins was joined by her grandson Toby, Neville Batt, & Talented junior Rory McNamara.... They shot 7 under par 65, nett 55, with an Eagle on the 18th hole. Great Score. The other6 teams all featured in the ball run down. A good day was had by all, hopefully we can built the event into a big & better one next year. Cheers See more

09.01.2022 Today was the 1st round of our Top of the Murray junior 9 Hole Tournaments. We had 21 players take to the beautiful Thurgoona Golf course under sunny sky's. Some great golf was played by all the juniors on a very shortened course for some while the better juniors played on the longer course. The winner for the long course was Jack McAulife from Wodonga GC, R/up was Josh Gill Wodonga GC. On the short course the girls winner was Thurgoona Junior Olivia Art,... with Anika Lustig 2nd also from Thurgoona. The boys short course winner was Thomas Newman from Thurgoona, R/up was Ethan Sorenson from Corowa and 3rd was Oliver Nelson from Corowa. All the other players received a golf ball for their efforts. Next week we play at Howlong GC. The tee time is 9.00am. Hope to see everyone back again and more to join in the fun. Happy Golfing. See more

08.01.2022 Today was our last day of junior golf for this year. Lots of fun was had in our family Ambrose Event on the range. Thanks to all the families who rock up and made our day a memorable one. Thanks also to all our wonderful volunteers/Coaches for their great support throughout the year. We have a rest for the school holidays and come back next year in term 1 ready to do it all again. ... 07.01.2022 Thurgoona kids had a great day out at the last event of the Top of the Murray junior 9 Hole series played at Corowa GC today. 28 juniors played the course in very pleasant conditions considering the hot weather predicted. Lots of top shots were played and some great scores had by many of our up and coming young players. Thanks to all the Adults who came and walked with the kids and helped them with their course management skills. It was greatly appreciated by all. Lots of... fun has been had by the juniors who have played the 3 events and we hope it will be bigger and better next year. Happy Golfing. See more

Thurgoona Monday 8th January Howlong Monday 15th January Corowa Monday 22rd January The golf course will be shorten to suit all age groups from 8yrs to 14 yrs. ... Cost is $15.00 per event which includes lunch & drink. Entry forms are at the Pro shop, if you need more details call me at the club. 05.01.2022 We have a new NSW Junior Sandgreen Champion. Congratulations to Bryan Filliponi on this fabulous win in the Sandgreen Championships played at Holbrook GC this weekend. His rounds were 80/68 & 86/74. Bryan also won the best men's 36 Hole nett for the Championships and featured in the winning teams event . Well done on a great weekend of golf, he picked the right time to peak.... Thurgoona kicked off our Sunday morning program today. We had a great roll up with lots of very happy and enthusiastic young golfers taking to the range. We are looking forward to watching them all improve over the next 9 weeks. 03.01.2022 Our MDGA Junior Pennant Team won their match against the KiamaGC Junior Team in the State Pennant round Robin Series played at Gold Creek GC in Canberra yesterday. The matches were all square at the end of play with 3 wins each, the no 1 players had to play in a play off to decide the winners. Our player Danika from Howlong GC won on the 2nd hole in a very exciting finish to the day. Congratulations to both teams for a great day of golf and very well done to our team for... a well deserved win. The team now go to Newcastle in January to play in the finals over 3 day. We wish them the very best of luck. Thanks to Janet & Steve for assisting on the day and Howlong GC for giving us the bus, it was a great team effort. Cheers Penny See more

02.01.2022 The North Eastern Junior Golf Event at Bright tomorrow has been cancelled due to the wet weather. The NE Junior Girls Championship will now be played early next year with a date to be announced. If you need anything more details about either event's please contact me at the Pro shop. The Sunday junior program has been cancelled tomorrow due to the wet conditions. We will have our last junior/ Family Ambrose day on Sunday the 10th Dec....
