24.01.2022 UPDATE 2020 SEASON The TDFL has elected to cancel the 2020 Football season for all grades, Senior and Junior. We as a Club support the TDFLs position and commend the work of the League and stakeholders in what has been a very difficult decision. We acknowledge the disappointment this may bring to our many players, families, supporters and sponsors however the decision was made in the best interest of community safety and welfare. Now that a decision has been made, we can move... forward and focus on doing everything we can to ensure our Club returns to the field as strong as ever. In regards to our Junior program, we will make some announcements in the coming days as we are committed to the development of our Junior footballers and will explore suitable opportunities for this to continue in light of the season cancellation. This decision does not affect the Female footballers as the AFL NEB are exploring competition models with separate announcements to come. We note that a decision on Netball is still to be made with further announcements to come. See more

21.01.2022 COVID UPDATE We hope that all our players, members, sponsors and their families are safe and well. We also hope that things are starting to return to normal for you all. The past few months have been tough for many and we understand the important role sport can play in helping restore the physical and mental health for those in our community. With recent changes to social restrictions in NSW and updates from the NSW Government and AFL NSW, a Return to Training guideli...ne is now available and our committee and coaches have been working through the guidelines and recommendations to ensure our Club is able to return to training in the safest way possible. Currently, our team Co-ordinators and coaches are working through the implementation strategies and completing the required COVID Training courses with a view that we can return to training as soon after the Queen's Birthday weekend as possible. We ask for your patience and understanding as the guidelines will require adjustments to our usual training practices including pick up/drop off routines, scheduled nights and strict social distancing measures. We will provide updates over the next week as to the requirements for all participants so that we can make a seamless and safe return to training. We remind you that we are currently only considering a return to Training and that considerations on a return to Play by the Government and relevant Sports Commissions are still on-going. See more

05.01.2022 RETURN TO TRAINING With teams returning to training over the next week, its important to understand there are responsibilities for all participants. We are excited to see our players back out on the field/court training and we have implemented the required protocols to ensure that training is conducted in a safe environment. Key points to remember:... - If you are sick or feeling unwell STAY AT HOME - Get in, train, get out! - Bring your own personal equipment (drink bottle, towels etc) and no sharing - 1.5m social distancing - No tackling/contact/high 5/handshakes - Maintain personal hygiene, wash hands, cover up coughs/sneezes - Changes rooms are CLOSED, come dressed ready to train Please follow directions of your coach and our COVID trained officers. It is on all of us to make sure the rules are followed for ourselves and others in the community. If you have any questions, please discuss with your coach or team co-ordinator.

03.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Kade Brown and Dan Cleary as our Senior Football Co-Coaches for season 2021. Kade, more affectionately known as Pup, has been an integral part of our Senior Football success being a 3x Premiership player at the Kennel. Dan is no stranger to our Club and has proven to lead with success, being a 2x time premiership Reserves coach with two different Clubs, our Doggies in 2014 and Brock-Burrum in 2019. We wish them and their playing group all the best for Season 2021 and look forward to seeing all of our players back in action.

02.01.2022 AFLNEB LEAGUE C19 Summary On Wednesday June 3rd, 2020 AFL North East Border convened a meeting of all affiliated Leagues to collectively discuss the COVID-19 im...pacts on the 2020 seasons. The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that leagues were fully informed of the latest information relevant to the Governments COVID-19 restriction as they apply to community football and to plan, as best as possible in a changing environment, the decision-making processes for the respective leagues. The Ovens & King Football Netball League announced that they had cancelled the 2020 football and netball season responding to the consultation and feedback from clubs during the pandemic. With the Victorian State Government indicating their next round of announcements will occur around June 22nd; any decisions on other senior leagues (OMFNL, TDFL and UMFNL) would be held over pending further information and consultation with their respective league clubs. It was acknowledged and agreed that key factors which will influence the decision making process at that time will be the health and wellbeing of the football netball community, the capacity of volunteers to manage COVID-19 hygiene obligations and importantly, lifting of restrictions to commence the season to allow 500 spectators plus participants with a projection of extended limits to enable the conduct of feasible finals series. The Upper Murray recognised that it may be feasible with less than 500 spectators. Individual Leagues and AFLNEB Umpires will now consult further ahead of and following June 22nd as it is anticipated individual announcements on the respective league seasons will be made by the end of June. Should information be available earlier which may influence the decision-making process, leagues shall be informed and act accordingly. The Albury Wodonga Junior Football League are preparing for a shortened season pending restriction levels in Victoria given that NSW can return to play as of July 1st for under 18 grades and therefore will carry forward any further decisions. The Wangaratta & District Junior Football will be considering an alternate model and framework which will be presented to the clubs prior to June 22nd having agreed in principle to not conduct a premiership season. The FFL will also reconvene to determine its season framework.
