25.01.2022 TCC Coordinator Sherylyne Moran and retired Child and Family Health Nurse Elizabeth Burge are venturing to Nepal in ONE WEEK!! to help at the Hope Children's Ho...me. They have been overwhelmed with the generous donations for the educational support for the children at the home and for the cost of winter jackets including $400 from the Thurgoona and District Lions Club of which Elizabeth is an active member. If you too would like to contribute, its not too late. You can donate on the mycause page https://www.mycause.com.au/page/178838/hope-home-nepal See more

18.01.2022 The Country Women's Association in Southern NSW in association with Lions clubs are endeavouring to put together 500 Pamper Packs as Christmas gifts for women who are doing it tough in some of the more severe drought areas of New South Wales. These are medium sized paper carry bags with small items to give these ladies a lift at Christmas and also to make them feel special and know that they are being thought of. Whilst the response to this appeal from everyone including bu...siness houses, church groups etc has been really great, it takes lots to fill 500 packs, so more donations are needed if you can help, that would be wonderful, so there are collection boxes at IGA Stores in Springdale Heights, Jindera, Henty, Lockhart, and East Albury, or contact a CWA or Lions Club member, or email [email protected]. We will gratefully appreciate any help you can give, with these packs being put together on 25th November so they can be distributed before Christmas. CWA Group Presidents were contacted to identify which areas are the most in need, so have allocated bags per areas. Thank you for your help, and I’m sure the ladies who receive the packs will thank you too.
