19.01.2022 Here are a couple of pics from our recent camping trip to Gippsland. How amazing does all the new growth on the trees look? We are coming into some good hiking weather at the moment! What a great way to get your exercise in by exploring some of our local walking/hiking tracks (remembering your 1.5 metre social distancing and good hygiene of course!). Please remember: If you are unwell - stay home and isolate... Otherwise stay home unless absolutely necessary - going to work, accessing health care, shopping needs, exercise alone or with a family member/s. 13.01.2022 This is an uprecedented time. For some it is confusing, for some it is stressful, and there is a lot of different opinions. The unknown can sometimes be the hardest part. In the world that we live in, often there is no simple answer to things. But what we do know is that this will pass and we will move forward. Please follow the advice that has been given to you by the experts. If confused, ask questions, but try not be vexing. Make the choice that you think is right for y...ou, your family and your community. And we will get through this time together. Stay calm, stay positive, have a little trust, and use your own common sense. And remember to be greatful for all the things that you DO get to enjoy over the next coming months.. Fresh air, exercise, family, relaxation.. We are lucky to be living in the country that we do. Here are some numbers below for anyone who may experience some difficulties over the coming weeks. Stay connected, Kate See more

03.01.2022 Hello Thurgoona tennis comp players, We would like to advise you of the current situation with our tennis comps at Thurgoona. We are referring to, and following..., the recommendations from NSW Dept. of Health, and also Tennis NSW. We have been advised from Tennis NSW that - "locally organised competitions & tournaments that are not operated by Tennis NSW can continue to be staged at the discretion of the Club that runs the competition. The decision to continue with Club competition, at this stage, remains at the discretion of the respective committees of these bodies. Currently, there is no Government advice stating that grassroots sport should cease although should you choose to continue running your competitions, coaching programs and other activities, we ask that you acknowledge the guidelines posted by NSW Health and take appropriate hygiene precautions." Some strategies and changes we are making to help reduce the chance of infection spreading in our tennis environment are:- if a player has recently returned from overseas, they need to isolate themselves for 14 days and notify their team captain to find a replacement player; players are encouraged to wash their hands with soap and water (for 20 secs) upon arrival, (available in the toilets), throughout the comp, and at the end of play - new signage is displayed on the toilet doors - also bring their own alcohol-based hand sanitiser to use throughout the comp (the Club is currently trying to source some but it's proving difficult); social distancing is encouraged by not shaking hands at the end of matches (air high 5s are very acceptable!) cleaning/wiping over toilet door handles, taps and toilet seats, will be carried out prior to commencement of the comp and at the end of the comp, with spray disinfectant, which will be available for players to use themselves throughout the comp, disposable gloves will also be available. if any player is uncomfortable playing due to the current conditions, please let their team captain know so they may find a replacement player. Please note, that these are current procedures, and are subject to change if circumstances change, and we are given different advice from the NSW Department of Health or Tennis NSW. Please pass on to your team members (or emergency players) in case we've missed anyone in our email. This message will also be posted on our Facebook page. Kind regards, Thurgoona Tennis Committee

02.01.2022 My daily exercise yesterday was taking my dog Billie to the East Albury Dog Park (and can I say I certainly sanitised after throwing that ball ). What was yours?

02.01.2022 Our valued staff are asking the Albury Wodonga community to #wecometoworkforyou #pleasestayhomeforus Albury Wodonga Health is introducing a revised visitor poli...cy in response to COVID-19. We thank the public and our patients for their co-operation and patience as we introduce this policy across all campuses from Tuesday, 24 March. The changes are necessary to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 across the community and protect our patients and staff. The key points are: * only 1 visitor per patient in all inpatient wards including the Wodonga Maternity Unit, and the visitor must be over the age of 16. Patients will be asked to identify ONE ONLY consistent visitor for the duration of their stay * Visiting hours will be strictly 12 noon to 2pm and 5pm to 7pm daily * Visitors are permitted to stay for up to one hour at a time * Visitors will NOT be permitted if they are unwell, have travelled from overseas in the past two weeks, or have identified as a close personal contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case. Please help us to help keep everyone safe. Thank you. See more
