25.01.2022 "REDUCED RATES" Therapy rooms for Rent at Thyme for Health, Naturopathic & Acupuncture Clinic. Rooms would suit Chiropractor, Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, Counselor, or any therapist. Must be 'qualified'. Rooms might also suit Beauty Therapists, Nail Technicians and Day Spa trained therapists too.... Rooms are furnished with treatment tables and desks. Casual Rates remain the same at the very low price of just $20 for those who want to hire a room by the consultation. I know its hard for therapists to build up their clientele and make a living, so this option gives you a chance to work from a professional setting, without the overwhelm of a lease, and take money home. It also gives therapists safety from inviting strangers into their homes. For situations, such as Beauty Therapists, a percentage system can be negotiated. Inquire with Fiona for more information. "REDUCED" Full Day Rates REDUCED from $75 to $60. This is still on a casual basis, and no lease required. (Restrictions apply. Such as, the room has to be left ready to be used by others). The other modalities included in the letter are: Alexander Technique, Aromatherapy, Bowen, Buteyko, Feldenkrais, Western Herbalism, Homeopathy, Iridology Kinesiology, Pilates, Reflexology, Rolfing, Shiatsu, Tai Chi, and Yoga. 24.01.2022 Hi guys, here we go again. You've probably seen this already, but I don't think I got it onto my 'T4H page' before, so having another go. Winter colds and flu's are hitting quite a few people lately, and so far I've been able to fend them off with my potions. Here's a couple that I've been busy brewing lately, which are well worth having on hand so when that little bug.....ger is trying to get you, you can blast em straight away. I'm at the clinic Monday, Tuesday, Thursday an...d Friday so pop in and get some so you're armed and dangerous. I love Winter, and have dug my boots and socks out, electric blanket cozying up the bed and rug ready for TV. Going camping next month for some serious bonfire time. 22.01.2022 Having some inquiries about where Ill be. New clinic is at home: 10 Short Road, Elizabeth. 0413 144 169... I used to work at home, but out the back of the house. This time weve renovated a room on the front of the house so easily accessed. Im in the 2nd bay window. Actually I suppose its a bay door now, lol. Im literally around the corner from the Philip Highway clinic. Just down from the servo, 3rd house on the right. Its a double story white house and youll see my little yellow car in the front. And Nellie Van. For the time being Nellies carport is clogged up with crap, so shes in front of my room. Just realised that I wont benefit from my signage anymore either, so if youre happy with my work, talk talk talk. If youre not.......tell me. Still not sorted........but it is early...... 22.01.2022 A bit of an update.......were still renovating the new room at home with a substantial amount to do yet. Got the paint on the walls (Daintree beauty is the colour) an dark olive green. Itll be fine.... Robs gearing up to do the door in the bay window next, which is a challenge. Once thats done, itll be the floor boards to get polished. Were away for 3 weeks in March, so itll definitely be after Easter before I can move in there. Should be lovely once were done and st...ill very easy to find. Loving this wonderful weather. 21.01.2022 Leaving all that political crap behind now. It all makes my head spin. I just don't have patience for the ridiculous. Its Easter again, so have a great weekend everyone. I know I'm in need of a break big time. I won't be back at work until the 29th April, but still available to call and make appointments (hopefully). Leave me a message if you can't catch me. I'll get back to you. I've started the Keto Diet, and I'm experiencing the 'Keto Flu'. I'll come good, but it is def...initely wiping me out atm. No sugar or alcohol for me this Easter. That's a bit of a challenge, but I really think that's exactly what I need right now. See how it goes. If you're going away, please drive safely. It'll be busy everywhere. 20.01.2022 Hi all, well its busy busy at the clinic. I was setting the new work from home date at April 16th, but not 100% sure on that. Everyone who has an appointment with me from next week will receive a txt clarifying which clinic Im at. The move is definitely trotting along, but as always glitches happen. Such as, the heat wave. From deciding to do an air conditioner later..... it got brought forward to.......right now. With my darling hubbys help, that might still not b...e a problem. Air conditioner is there....(I dont muck around), but the install may take some time. Oh and the other thing is getting my HICAPS all sorted again. I need new provider numbers for your private health, at the new address, and that takes time. It might be a case of taking a receipt and doing your claims online for a few weeks. That one is out of my hands. Otherwise Im in chaos a little bit, but Im still consulting on my normal days, Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri. And the shift will happen when it happens. Oh.....and then the computers..........youve just got to laugh really...... And trying to fit a 5 room clinic back into 1 (and a half) rooms. Youve just got to laugh really...... Well my lovelys, this too will pass, and life will trot along as normal soon enough, with this chaos a distant memory. And maybe by then I can resume writing my book and creating my formulas and all of the other things I enjoy doing. 19.01.2022 Hi all. Well Im mostly moved in to my new space at home and been underway in there this week. Its amazing how we tend to run on autopilot. Until youre thrown out of kilter. Im not used to working with my home noises around, kids coming and going, dogs barking etc. not that theyre bad, just different. Also, havent got Eftpos or HICAPS or internet sorted yet. I dont know what the issue is with the Eftpos. And been on to the bank and Optus, so .........later. I had a ...great session with my friend Jo helping me at the clinic yesterday. Decided to not have a garage Sale after all, and so off to the op shop we went. Dropped off heaps. Regarding the next couple of weeks, Ill be consulting Monday and Tuesday next week and Thursday and Friday the following week. Going to be away for a few days. Should settle into more routine after that. Face your own health, my lovelies. Dont expect a Doctor to make you healthy. I can help you with the why something is going wrong. And the how to sort it. But only you can do what needs doing. I can prescribe you wonderful, helpful medicine tonics that dont poison you but gently encourage your bodys correct function. 16.01.2022 Hi everyone, thought Id better touch base with you all out there. Corona Virus. Its all were talking about at the moment. Its scary and real. Just wanted to let you know that I am still seeing people at my home clinic .... at this stage. ... Obviously if youve travelled, stay away. Obviously if youre sick, stay away. I have increased my due diligence in clinic hygiene as much as possible. In saying that, if anyone wants a pause on their appointments, thats totally understandable. If youre in need of herbal medicine, let me know. We have to support our immune systems as much as possible right now. Alkaline diet, fruit and veg time. Herbal Medicines that could be helpful at the moment are my Immune Formula, Cold n Flu and Cough Formula. This virus is supposed to hit the lungs pretty hard, so Cough Formula has lots of lung herbs. If youre not keen on going out, give me a buzz and something can be arranged. Avoiding contact with others as much as possible is best, and all you can do is your best. I think we might have to become glove wearers, to avoid touching shopping trolleys, and toilet doors etc. but then take care not to contaminate yourself, from the gloves. Its scary how quick our society has gone into panic, and saddens me to see footage of violence in supermarkets. Yes, we have to be more careful for a while, but we do still have to live. Treat people as you would like to be treated. This too will pass. Be nice. Im a very social person so Ill miss seeing everyone but best to hunker down and ride out the storm. 16.01.2022 Hi everyone, its been ages since Ive posted here. Busy busy. Thyme for Health is still happily going, at the home clinic. I have settled in quite well there now and changed my appointment times to try and avoid overlap since I dont have a waiting room any more. It is definitely a year of some chaos it seems. Im in the process of trying to tidy up the old clinic to get it ready for sale. So that takes up my time in between clients lately. And once that is done I have the ...daunting task of seriously sorting through the boxes. Sometimes it all just gets too much, so I jump into old Nelly van and head for the forest. Even I have to recognise when I need to recharge. There are so many chores on the lists such as changing the website and Natural Therapy Pages, to do yet. In the meantime rest assured that if you give me a buzz on my mobile or text, youll be able to get an appointment if you need. I guess the moral of this post is: dont sweat the small stuff. 13.01.2022 Well folks, thats it for the Philip Highway Clinic. Friday the 27th was the last official working day. Today, the 28th April 2018, my Mums birthday (God Rest), Ive shifted into my new room. Tomorrow come the computers and a few more things and hopefully Ill be functional by Monday morning. Im not sure if the Eftpos will work, and I wont have HICAPS for a while yet, but I can work on you. The clinic is in disarray, and looks quite sad really, but my new room is taking ...shape. Albeit not a single square foot, will be free by the time Im finished. A place for everything and everything in its place, comes to mind. And so I begin another chapter in my book of life. 13.01.2022 Well I guess I have to put a notification out sometime so here goes. Im shifting clinic in the near future. That could be a few months yet, not sure. Were renovating a room at home with front access, so when thats sorted Ill move Medicine Woman over there. Home is only around the corner from the clinic so very easy to find. Main change will be there wont be a do drop in available anymore. All inquiries and medicine pick ups, will have to be arranged by calling or t...exting first. Another main feature lost in the move will be a waiting room, so Ill have to spread appointments so that I dont have any overlapping. Doable. It is a very sad decision for me as I love my clinic, but havent secured any room leases in over 5 years, so its just not viable. Ive tried to help quite a lot of practitioners to get a start but no one has really been serious. Sorry, but room rentals wont be available anymore either. On the bright side, my practice will continue, and I intend to go on a few more holidays, since I wont be paying overheads while Im away anymore. 11.01.2022 Hey folks, its been a while. Im in my hammock in the forest. Havent been able to put it up for ages. Just had a lovely camp fire with my fabulous friend Audra, last night. Itll be my last fire for the season. Well, the clinic on Philip Highway is on the market. Please universe, someone come along and love it as I did. Rob and I have been flat out getting the clinic all refreshed and ready for a new adventure, and were done. Phew 6 years have gone by, and approx 4,00...0 treatments, so it was a fulfilling time of my life. Havent stopped though. Continuing on at my new lovely space at home. Not perfect, but very workable and comfy. I needed to just have a break in nature before turning to the next daunting task.......all the boxes from the clinic and the rearrange at home. 10.01.2022 Hey there, You may have seen these photos before, if you have access to Medicine Woman page, but Im just figuring out how to communicate between pages, not very successfully, but oh well. I might not be doing things to best way....... but one way or another, it is happening. If you havent seen these, this is me just rejuvenating my soul and Qi, hanging out in the forest with Bonzai (my little old dog), getting some down time and fresh air. Had some friends and hubby join me later, and we cooked a magnificent Pork Roast with about 8 veggies. There is nothing like camp cooking. Yummo. 08.01.2022 Hi everyone, just like sometimes you need Round Up to kill the weeds in the garden, you need Ratsak for the husband, oops I meant mice. I spotted a cute little mouse tootling around at the clinic a few weeks ago, and went to investigate. Sure enough my cupboards had been raided. I had meal replacement sachets in the cupboard and all had been eaten (didn't like them anyway). But I noticed that next to those sachets I had a box of sweetener sachets NOT TOUCHED. ... That got me thinking Once the cupboards were cleaned, I had to deal with my squatters. I'm not fond of dealing with traps (tend to snap my own fingers). So apologies to anyone who thinks I'm mean, but ratsak was put down. Back to my thinking , I wondered about the 'Natural' Stevia I have been using of late. So put these couple of sachets down, next to where the mice had clearly been feeding. Two weeks and on to the 3rd pack of ratsak and they've not touched the Stevia. Mmmmmm, well ..... if mice wont touch it..... I'll leave you with that little bit of information. ........back to the honey me thinks.....

08.01.2022 Hi everyone, its been a while since I did the big rant about the Private Health Insurance dropping us Naturopaths out of their systems. A huge response from people signing the petition, so thanks to those I know who did that. My association and others have been getting the message across that "The People" want to have Alternative Therapies on their Private Health Insurance. I did read an article where they might reintroduce it, in about a year and it will cost the govt ab...out $2 million to do it. What the ....... Any way its clear the powers that are, haven't got a clue. My only wish is that the Medical system lets those big decision makers down personally, and that they have no choice but to reach out to a practitioner like me, for help. That way they might realize what a big mistake they've made. Karma do your thing. In the mean time, I have tried to apply to a Massage Association, sent off all of my credentials etc, and been very quickly shot down with a reply that my creds are TOO OLD. I wasn't aware that they would have a 'use by date'. They suggested I do Cert IV in massage to update. This costs $6K and 6 months full time study. So sorry folks, not an option. I really don't feel like studying again, especially something I have already got qualifications in. Secondly I have applied to an Acupuncture Association for membership and consequently provider number, so my clients don't miss out. I have been given a tentative yes on that, but the $500 per year is making me waiver. The real deal breaker at this point is that they still wont give me a provider number for Bupa or HGF, unless I have a Bachelor Degree. I am definately not going to go down that $60K path. So at this point I am feeling that I probably wont continue with this. After the clinic sells and cashflow improves I might change my mind. Even then it will only help those in Private Health that have cover for Acupuncture and are NOT in Bupa or HGF. After all that, please feel assured that I am still a qualified and functioning Naturopath, Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist. Unfortunately for the first time in my 25 year career I cannot offer Provider Numbers in Private Health Insurance. I was considering a Price rise (since I haven't had one in 7 years) but have decided due to all of this turmoil, to just keep prices as they are. I can still offer EFTPOS. Please do your maths with your Private Health Insurance and make sure they're worth it. Sorry folks, please remember I didn't do this. The government did. 06.01.2022 Hi guys, here we go again. Youve probably seen this already, but I dont think I got it onto my T4H page before, so having another go. Winter colds and flus are hitting quite a few people lately, and so far Ive been able to fend them off with my potions. Heres a couple that Ive been busy brewing lately, which are well worth having on hand so when that little bug.....ger is trying to get you, you can blast em straight away. Im at the clinic Monday, Tuesday, Thursday an...d Friday so pop in and get some so youre armed and dangerous. I love Winter, and have dug my boots and socks out, electric blanket cozying up the bed and rug ready for TV. Going camping next month for some serious bonfire time. Get your scarves out and protect your necks, that cool chill in the afternoon is catching a few people out lately. 03.01.2022 Hey there, You may have seen these photos before, if you have access to 'Medicine Woman' page, but I'm just figuring out how to communicate between pages, not very successfully, but oh well. I might not be doing things to best way....... but one way or another, it is happening. If you haven't seen these, this is me just rejuvenating my soul and Qi, hanging out in the forest with Bonzai (my little old dog), getting some down time and fresh air. Had some friends and hubby join me later, and we cooked a magnificent Pork Roast with about 8 veggies. There is nothing like camp cooking. Yummo. Got me to thinking that I should get bu...sy and sort those bees out with a nice safe place to go at night, out in the backyard. That brought me to checking out some info on keeping bees and harvesting my own honey. I found this cracker eBook.
