05.01.2022 A second round of SA government small business grants has been announced. The eligibility criteria are similar to those for the first round, in particular requiring that a business be receiving JobKeeper. A $10,000 grant is available for eligible small businesses that employ staff and are receiving JobKeeper from 28 September 2020. A $3K grant is now also available for small businesses that do not employ staff and are operating from business premises and are receiving JobKeeper from 28 September 2020.

01.01.2022 The JobMaker Hiring Credit scheme received royal assent on 4 December 2020 and registrations are now open. If you create a new employee position between 7 October 2020 and 6 October 2021, and you and the employee meet certain criteria, you can receive JobMaker Hiring Credit payments of $100-$200 a week, payable up to 12 months from the employee's start date. Key eligibility criteria for the payments include:... pre-employment employee must have received JobSeeker, Youth Allowance or parenting payment for at least two consective fortnights within six fortnights before commencing employment.
