24.01.2022 Completed this painting job this week :) The owners found the area very dark, so the shade cloth on the roof was removed, and a change of colour required to brighten it up. There is now a lot more natural light getting through, and the whole area has a very different feel. (Paint colour was matched to the existing eave colour)

23.01.2022 I don't post here very often, but thought I'd just drop in. I have been doing several house renos this year, and thought this photo really told a story. When you get quotes you really need to research and ask questions about what the quote includes. Take painting for example, you need to ask what prep are they going to do? What brand paint? Is their quote itemised? This photo is why you always spend extra time on the prep. While an extreme example, after a good scrubbing wit...h sugar soap and rinsing this wall will only then be ready to see any paint. If this is not done, the painting isn't worth anyone's time or money. Do it right and do it once. Anyway back to it, breaktime over. A huge THANK YOU to everyone that recommends my services, going for well over 5 years without spending a cent on advertising. Word of Mouth advertising is free, but forever priceless for any business.

13.01.2022 A big THANK YOU I'm truly grateful for all the post shares over the last week, for all the newcomers to this page - WELCOME! I tend to get caught up in the day to day and don't tend to post here very often at all, in fact the average is every 6-8 months!! I need to change that. SO.. I have set some new goals recently, and one of them is to post every 7-14 days. Don't panic! I won't be spamming you daily, I just want to keep you updated a little more. :) ... Check out a few photos from this week, this lovely home is in the southern suburbs. I have been tasked to help the owners freshen it up a touch - A rather large project! With every single square inch of wall covered in 45 year old wallpaper, it was like unwrapping a Christmas gift that kept on giving . With the walls stripped, sugar soaped and then washed, some walls were then skim coated and then everything sanded. Before being prepped for paint. All walls are now in primer ready for top coats of paint, all timber work is sanded ready to go. Look at the difference already! With a new kitchen and a few other improvements this will be a neat, light and airy home. A bonus is the nice surprise that's waiting to be revealed, under those awesome plush pile carpets is a fantastic Tasmanian Oak floor. All polished and ready to go, it will hopefully just need a wax and polish to freshen it up. Stay tuned over the coming weeks as this home gets transformed

08.01.2022 MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I just wanted to pass on my seasons greetings to all my customers. It has been another massive year, and i'm forever grateful to everyone that has recommended my services throughout 2019. 95% of my work has once again come purely from word of mouth. THANK YOU!! We are thinking of everyone that has been impacted by the fires that continue here in South Australia and also NSW. The devastating thought of losing your home or property is something that I find ha...rd to imagine. I have been touched by the way the community rallies in support for the families and businesses impacted. Over the festive season please support businesses from the Adelaide Hills, and consider donating to one or more of the families. (I'll post some links below) Lastly, THANK YOU to all the amazing volunteers that are out there day and night defending others properties, you are all true hero's. 07.01.2022 I often get jobs that involve 'patch and paint'. The most difficult aspect of this work is to provide an accurate paint colour match. Obviously the colour needs to match as close as possible and with most colour profiles not recorded for homes, this can be a difficult task. Factors such as: age, dirt, available light, paint texture, angle of view, and of course human error can all affect the colour matching process.... Any tool that I can add to my system that not only improves efficiency, but also increases accuracy, has got to be a good thing. This little paint matching device gives me an accurate starting point, it connects to my phone and instantly gives me it's top three selections for the surface. I can then confirm this manually prior to heading to the paint store. The app also allows saving numerous colours to a profile, this profile can then be either sent as a message or emailed to customers for future reference, or even to the paint supplier for order. The wonders of a modern tech world ;) Even better, this device was developed by innovative Aussie's :)

04.01.2022 It's been a looooooong while since I posted! The last six months has been extremely busy with a lot of rental repair work on the books. Weather conditions in SA have caused a few delays along the way, so tonight I'm trimming and painting a new door for a property in readiness for the morning. I hope I can get it hung, and give it a final coat of paint before it heats up too much!

02.01.2022 Just one of my jobs from last week My customer wanted a window seat built, so I came up with a design and built it for them, creating a storage space and a place to sit. The view out of these windows will make it hard to leave, it just needs a custom cushion made too complete it. ...
