18.01.2022 Improving teen mental health literacy @PeninsulaRotaractClub donates funds and gives their team support for the innovative SPOTA project. A generous $1,000 and... a new 3 year commitment to support SPOTA from @PeninsulaRotaractClub will kick start a project to improve mental health for young people across the Mornington Peninsula. The SPOTA project aims to improve teen mental health literacy through a collective impact approach. The 3-level strategy targets depression and anxiety through a prevention and early intervention Public awareness, Community education and Frontline gatekeeper campaign. The @centreforsocialimpact at UNSW Sydney has been engaged to evaluate the trial. SPOTA’s unique Teen mental health literacy alliance forms a cross-sector collaboration that spans local youth services, general practitioners, pharmacies, schools, sports clubs, workplaces and the wider community that will help co-ordinate the delivery of activities and training at a local level.
