16.01.2022 Just wanting to mention this post again after a 3 star review from someone today who found a house to have "the most comfortable beds, a great location, everything you could possibly need, the kids loved the pool, the communication was fabulous, the house was perfect and well be back!" This 3 star review single-handedly halted my long awaited, hard earned Superhost status with AirBnB this quarter, plunging me back down the "average 5 star reviews" rating :(

You can either sit outside overlooking the water, or in the luxe interior. Coffee is always perfect and the menu is delicious. Offering evening dining on Fridays and Saturdays and the one I love...coffee til 6pm on a Sunday! One of the rare places that stays open past 2pm on the Coast! @doublebarrelbenowa

14.01.2022 I posted this 4 years ago and the message is still the same today. Value for money is always important and when you work out your price per head, you are always winning when compared to renting out several hotel rooms. All of our houses are waterfront with pools in great central locations, sleeping 10 to 16 people depending on the house. All have their own fully equipped kitchens, BBQ, outdoor entertaining, free unlimited wifi....its a no brainer!! :) When comparing the rate... you are paying to stay in these fully furnished holiday homes to the cost of even just one motel room, especially in holiday periods...you are way in front every time. A common phrase I hear is "we are paying a lot of money for this house" and this is true....the going rate for accommodation on the Gold Coast is both seasonal and competitive and our rates are always a fair representation of both. When you compare to the alternative....a couple of luxury hotel rooms or several cheap motel rooms, I dont think theres any doubt that youve made the right decision as to where you would rather spend that money :) See more

14.01.2022 We were thrilled to have some wonderful guests stay recently who were participating in the biennial Australian Open Lawn Bowls tournament. This event is held on the sunny Gold Coast and draws competitors from all over the world and includes under 18, disability competitions and senior events. Our gorgeous guests were talented enough to have reached the last 16 of both the Mens Over 60s Pairs AND the Over 60s Ladies Pairs. They had to play 5 games of 18 ends to reach the last 16...a total of 6.5 hours a day! What an effort and what an achievement! Luckily they were able to come home and relax in the beautiful Bliss On Monaco each day! 06.01.2022 What does #BookDirect mean and why should I Book Direct? Small businesses like Bliss Holiday Homes provide gorgeous houses for guests to enjoy. The rates we charge vary from season to season but there are absolutely NO additional fees on top of the tariff and cleaning and linen. Due to their reach, large booking platforms like AirBnB, HomeAway, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Expedia, VRBO, Stayz are often used by small businesses such as Bliss Holiday Homes to increase exposure v...ia the advertising provided by these large companies. Essentially though, these platforms are just that...advertising portals. In return for advertising on their site, these advertising companies charge small businesses and or property owners a large commission on every booking. In return for guests being able to book a property via these advertising companies, they charge guests additional large Traveller Fees on TOP of the rate that will actually be received by the owner of the property.
