18.01.2022 I have definitely found a new love. I find it hard to part with any scraps from our many painted canvases that we create for the bags. When I look closely now at all the off cuts I just see newness waiting to happen. In so many of the tiniest sections there is texture and a myriad of colours just waiting to be composed to form a new beautiful piece of artwork. I am obsessed with bringing patterns together, cutting the right shape, finding its best place in the page and creating its new family! Its a total joy and now I realise a nice therapy for me to come home to after a long day of painting. This way I can just sit still with my family and happily watch Netflix calmly! I truly love making art. I hope you find therapy through something that you love. X

17.01.2022 Its really lovely to be painting tulle skirts again for events that had been postponed. These skirts are apart of many a happy moment, graduations, formals, weddings, milestone birthdays and intimate celebrations. I feel lucky to create such special pieces for days that memories are made. X

09.01.2022 I love this little corner of my studio. I have room to paint big but for some reason this spot screams for smaller scale. This navy blue piece was a joy to bring together. Its just been delivered to be stretched. I look forward to seeing it with a lovely oak frame. X

01.01.2022 I love looking at the start of my paintings and think maybe I should leave them as is... maybe I should focus on simplicity... but what Ive come to recognise is thats not me, I have to keep adding! I have an initial vision in my head and that leads me to the finish line often weeks later. My work is chaotic but I do like to think they tell stories, thats why I keep adding the layers and the lines and one colour after another. I grew up in Alice Springs, every school holidays I would fly down South and look out over the landscape, I feel as though these birdseye views pop up in my paintings, they depict the land, the activity on the land, different stages of life, people and places and all the feelings along the way. I kind of hope you find your own stories within them.
