24.01.2022 Today was the Tiger Chicks training day. Brainchild of one of ourpocket rockets, Nicole Walker, the day began with a paddle session on the Brisbane River, then a nav session, and a mountain bike and trek in Daisy Hill forest. The aim of the day was to prepare the ladies, most of whom are novices, for the #WildWomenAR adventure Race on 10 October. It was absolutely sensational, great teachers and wonderful, adventurous women. Everyone had heaps of fun, learn heaps and are excited for the upcoming race. Thanks to all the wonderful women who attended and to Shaun Jackson, Murray Cambie, Craig Keeling, Peter Hopwood, Christine Perry, Amanda Kyneur, Mark Murray, Dianne Roser for making the day possible. But most of all thanks to Nicole for the inspiration to create the day. Bring on Wild Women.

Thanks to everyone who came along and helped out, especially to Nick Stabler for generating the races on MapRunF and Ellie Marks who did a road trip from Old Bar in NSW. 11.01.2022 A few months back one of my pocket rocket team mates Nicole Walker came up with the idea of running a Tiger Chicks training day to introduce new ladies to Adventure racing. The idea was to get them ready for the #WildWomenAR, an all female event. Well it was a great success and we will have 12 teams taking on the event in just over a week. Our other pocket rocket team mate Sara Barrett is helping the group with race prep and gear advise and lending. The ladies are excited, it...s going to be a lot of fun. I cant wait to see how they all go. 10.01.2022 Tiger Chicks getting ready for Wild Women AR. #WildWomenAR

10.01.2022 Race 2 of the NZ Adventure 1 series, Whangamata Adventure Race was run on the weekend. Congrats to Tiger Adventure New Zealand (Kym Skerman, Tim Farrant, Oliver Thompson and Matt Backler) who took out second place, following up their first placing in race 1. They lead the series with one race to go and are our new profile picture. Also special mention to Tiger Mums (Jennifer Davis, Emma Jones, Catherine Brown) and Jason Brown (a member of Tiger Adventure GOdzone team) who als competed in the event. The final race of the A1 NZ series will be the Marokopa Munter 24 Hour Adventure Race on Nov 21/22. This year's NZ champion team will get a free entry into any A1 Aussie race in 2021 (calendar to be released shortly).

09.01.2022 I’ve been in contact with Kym Skerman, captain of the Tiger Adventure New Zealand team. Sounds like the race was hectic. I think they have taken out 5th place, which is an awesome result given they had lost their main navigators for the race. That should secure an Adventure 1 series win.

08.01.2022 The Aussie Adventure 1 series for 2021 has been announced. What an awesome line up of events. Tiger will be fielding multiple teams of all levels for the series. If you want to be part of a team for all or just one of the races, PM me as I will be building teams in the coming weeks. Exciting times for AR, so get in involved and support A1 and all the race directors who are working together to build a strong future for this amazing sport.

07.01.2022 It's OFFICIAL - GODZone Chapter 10 is going coast to coast on a A Southern Traverse of New Zealand's magnificent South Island. The start line will be on a remo...te beach. The finish line will be on a remote beach. In between will be one massive adventure. Teams will have 9 days to complete the epic Traverse. Mikonui to Marlborough maybe? Karamea to Kaikoura anyone? Milford to Moerangi per chance? You get the picture... Our event philosophy is to take competitors to world class adventure locations and give them a unique experience they won’t forget. This has usually meant basing ourselves out of a specific host region, sending teams in a broadly circular route to test the limits of their backcountry skills and endurance. Chapter 10 is a special moment in our history. To celebrate this milestone, we’re going to start and finish in two very different places. There will be a whole island of amazing exploring to be done in between those remote locations. It will be A Southern Traverse of the island which, will feel like a constantly evolving expedition from a bygone age.
