24.01.2022 I was on the Australian Red Cross website today and came across this piece that explores what people go through in disaster. If you know someone who as been affected by recent fires across Australia, it's worth a look. Don't try and solve it, just listen then ask them what they need. Could be something in that for our politicians too. #bushfires #community #mentalhealth #redcross https://www.redcross.org.au//this-is-what-people-go-throug

15.01.2022 Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the current #bushfire emergencies across Australia. We encourage everyone to follow the advice of the experts, make a plan (https://www.redcross.org.au/prepare) and stay tuned to the ABC News

14.01.2022 While active fire-fighting continues across Australia, many communities are beginning the slow and painful process of renewal; adjusting to a new reality and rebuilding their lives, businesses and communities. If you, or anyone you know, needs support, encourage them to contact their local disaster relief centre. Links to support are available at https://www.redcross.org.au//rec/direct-assistance-contact https://www.humanservices.gov.au/i/help-emergency/bushfires https:/.../www.fundingcentre.com.au/bushfire-relief-grants/ Support for small businesses differs from state to state. 14.01.2022 Congratulations to our Managing Director, Rick Stone, for receiving a 2020 volunteer award from Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Rick was the 2020 Parade Medical Team Coordinator, providing pro-bono services in planning, equipping and managing the 60 person medical team who helped keep the Parade safe. https://www.mardigras.org.au//2020-mardi-gras-volunteers-a

06.01.2022 In Tigertail's latest blog post, Craig Moroz argues that COVID-19 is not a black or even grey swan event but a reasonably foreseeable event. Let us know your thoughts. https://www.tigertail.com.au//pandemic-preparedness-black-

04.01.2022 As we move into a new year our thoughts are with those communities suffering through unprecedented #bushfires and affected by devastating #drought. This year we've had the privilege of working with many organisations that recognise how to build #resilience and prepare for crisis. We've run plenty of simulations to validate risk plans and practise crisis response-they're testing enough, but nothing compared to what individuals, families, businesses and communities are now de...aling with, and will continue to deal with for years to come. All of us at Tigertail want to say THANK YOU to everyone involved in the #emergencyresponse; whether volunteer and career, on the frontline, or in those vital planning and logistic support roles. Stay safe in 2020 and remember to update your #emergencyplanning at https://lnkd.in/ggFTrqS and https://lnkd.in/gWCmBY5 or https://lnkd.in/fMm78gR, and stay informed with #abcnews https://lnkd.in/gAMSqeu and local emergency services.
