23.01.2022 First bok choy harvest. Remove outer leaves rather than the plant, to allow more growth and yield.

16.01.2022 Winter eggplant? Eggplant is usually grown in the warmer months and harvested in summer. However, due to the warm and sunny spot the eggplant is growing in, I had a poor crop last summer (too hot), but the plants have thrived in the winter sun and I hope to have fruit in a few weeks.

16.01.2022 Spring is just a month away and there are blooms out, preparing to farwell winter. One of my favourite bursts of colour at this time is the orange pigface. Due to the many frosts and sunny days this winter, spring bulbs are coming on now. My daffodils are always the first to bloom.

02.01.2022 All my blooms bring the bees to the yard. Many gardeners are noticing fewer bees in their gardens. This has led to less pollination of plants, and low yields for harvesting fruit and vegies. I know gardeners who resorted to hand pollination last year. Make sure your garden has lots of reasons for the bees to visit. This varigated camellia is doing the job nicely today.
