At present the pots are made and we are now in the processing of designing and sourcing a suitable pump and timer for the inbuilt irrigation system. Will post further details as they come to hand.

19.01.2022 What Filters Do I require? A common question when dealing with customers new to the idea of installing a rainwater tank is " What filters , if any, do I require? " Of course this depends on what the water stored in the tank is to be used for. The two main uses are for garden taps only , or connected to the water supply of the house, ie - toilets and washing machine.... We suggest installing a " First Flush Filter " on all installations, wether the water is just for the garden or to be connected to the house. The " First Flush Filter " is installed between the nozzle feed of the gutter and the tank inlet. The most basic filter usually consists of a PVC tee fitting which can have a 90/100mm pipe fitted to the bottom section which should be a minimum of 1.5m in length. As part of the kit, a plastic ball is supplied together with a 90/100mm cap. The ball is placed in the length of the 90/100mm pipe with the cap installed at the bottom of the pipe. The Tee has a " Moulded Seat " in its construction which allows the plastic ball to make a seal when pushed up against it. The idea is that when it rains the first few litres of water that go down the downpipe will reach the tee and the length of pipe with the ball & cap will fill. As the pipe fills the ball will float up to the bottom of the First Flush Tee piece. This makes a seal against the molded seat and then diverts the water to through the other outlet on the tee to the tank inlet. There is a small spout with a micro hole on it which slowly releases the water gathered in the 90/100mm pipe in it, ready for collection of rainwater during the next downpour. By using the " First Flush Filter " you can gather the first dirty water of the roof which usually has dust, and larger particles on it, preventing it from entering the tank. The other filter which should be fitted to the outlet side of the pump is a " Triple Action Filter " . This filter should be installed when the tank water is to supply fixtures in the house. It has three purposes, the first been the removal of any other fine particles left in the water after the first flush filter, the second been the removal of any odour the water may have, and thirdly the cleansing of any discolourisation of the water. Sometimes depending on vegetation that can collect on the roof, rainwater can have a brown, red colour to it. You can read further information on both these filters by viewing our " Frequently Asked Questions " section of our website or the " Filters " section under products.

17.01.2022 **** Highly Recommended for ThinTank Installations ***** When installing a ThinTank you should consider upgrading your first flush filter and install a " SuperHead " First Flush Filter with built in Leaf Strainer. As the ThinTanks have many cross connectors within the ThinTanks construction, it is essential to keep the water entering the tank very clean, so as to prevent build up of debri inside the ThinTank.... You can view further details on the new SuperHead Filter by clicking on the link below: http://www.tightspottanks.com.au//superhead-first-flush-a/
