11.01.2022 Hi Fellow humans. If you’re getting a bathroom renovated.. Please don’t let the builder , tiler handyman or who ever is doing it for you cut into you’re floor joist to lower a shower base to try make level with bathroom floor. It’s actually ilegal and wrong. You’re compromising the integrity of the joist and weakening it when taking 30 or 40mm out of it. It’s 90mm for a reason. TO HOLD YOUR HOUSe UP!!... Cut it! it’ll flex! your grout will break! you’ll have a leak! The only way to fix is to start again. I see it that often that it’s not funny. Seeing brand new bathrooms already needing repairs when they are only 3months old. Have a great day. See more
