14.01.2022 Perimeters of the roof area are waterproofeed prior to a new concrete roof topping. The reason for this is to provide a secondary water barrier from entering the building below. Eventually TWS will install a trafficable membrane to the new concrete topping.
14.01.2022 The last of the plant rooms at Orion. This plant room being above the Coles and food court area, had to be completed at night.
13.01.2022 THE highly anticipated second stage of Orion Shopping Centre is taking shape with Event Cinemas starting works on the fit-out of their 2000 seat cinema complex. The $154million expansion includes a Town Square dining precinct and adds 31,545sqm of retail, entertainment and commercial office suites including Coles, Target, Event Cinemas, Orion Hotel, a JB Hi-Fi and about 60 specialty stores.
12.01.2022 Central Brisbane will be home to the development of Australasias largest Ibis hotel. Brookfield Multiplex has recently been appointed to design and construct the 27-Storey, 4 Star Hotel for Action Group Pty Ltd. Situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD the hotel will have 368 guest rooms, a restaurant that seats 180, a lounge and bar as well as pre-function and function areas. The heritage façade will be reconditioned. Construction commenced October 2014 and is due for completion in January 2016. TWS is currently involved with the early works of waterproofing, for example the retaining walls to the substation.
12.01.2022 TWS was engaged by Blackwatch Projects to supply and install the waterproofing to the buildings. Blackwatch Projects was engaged by Project Services on behalf of the Department of Communities. The buildings were constructed over 15 inner city sites, all providing various design and construct limitations. The design brief was generally in line with State Government standard design principles with general adoption to site requirements. The construction methods were generally on grade parking and load bearing masonry construction over a combination of one to three storeys.
09.01.2022 170 Queen Street (formerly known as Broadway on the Mall)
09.01.2022 TWS was appointed for the waterproofing and sealing of the car park by the FKG Group. Who have been contracted, to complete the construction of 14 independent living dwellings that will be home for eligible residents. The Wesley Mission Mantle Apartments project also includes one additional independent living dwelling that will be for staff and family. There will be integrated indoor and outdoor spaces with communal areas provided. Once complete, the development will include extensive landscaping which will provide ambiance and privacy for the residents. The project also involves the construction of car parking for 16 cars.
07.01.2022 Building C is the third building to be constructed by Adco Constructions at the Gold Coast Beachside campus. This new 6 floor development will house the SCU College, the Learning Centre/Personalised Learning Environment, office and teaching and learning spaces including a 500 seat lecture theater. TWS has been engaged by Adco for the waterproofing of this project. The development will enable access to a new cohort of students through the SCU College transition programs and provide enhanced facilities for all SCU students at the Gold Coast campus. Estimated Completion date: Jan 2017
07.01.2022 The New Centenary Wing and New Seminar Room Project. The Womens College was the first College established for Women attending the University of Queensland in 1914 and moved to its current site in the 1950s. The current project aims at optimizing student capacity to 250 providing an additional 47 rooms and supporting works. The Project is due for completion in February 2015. TWS's role in this project is the complete waterproofing package for the project. McNabs is the builder on this project.
06.01.2022 ADCO has recently commenced the design and construction of this new Woolworths anchored shopping centre on the outskirts of Brisbane. The $12 million project includes a new full line Woolworths supermarket, a BWS and 11 additional specialty retail tenancies. The development is underway with completion schedule for mid 2016. TWS has been contracted to do the waterproofing for this project.

02.01.2022 The South Town Walk area at the shopping centre. With a foyer area and basement car park underneath. TWS waterproofed this area then a sand seed coat was applied ready for Tiling.
02.01.2022 Part of the new factory for Jeld-wen at Stapylton, is a Bio-retention tank. TWS waterproofed the retaining wall and installed a drainage cell with geo-fabric.
