25.01.2022 This dyno sheet shows just how inconsistent a factory vnt boost control system can be. On the dyno it just about makes you feel sea sick as the torque dips rock the car back and forth on the rollers each run. Easily fixed however, smooth consistent boost pressure run after run once our boost control system is fitted and tuned.... More torque, Lower EGT, Improved economy & very good value for money. $385 Supplied, Fitted and setup on the dyno with before and after results.

25.01.2022 We hope everyone is keeping safe in these uncertain times. We are still currently open for trade, however some of our products are being held up in production or freight due to the Covid19 pandemic. Please be patient if you order a kit from us and it isnt delivered in the usual speedy timeframe we aim for. If any serious delays are expected we will call you immediately.... If you want to order a product and need to know a time frame for delivery please send us an email to [email protected]. The phones have been ringing off the hook this week and we have been unable to keep up with all the return calls during business hours. Please stay safe out there and do everyone else a favor, take this #slowthecurve social distancing guide seriously. Granted the spread of this virus is going to continue well into the future, please give those that will get seriously sick a chance to be seen by the emergency ward in a hospital if they need to.

24.01.2022 Another little project that has been on the go for a while now. ZD30 air intakes to suit 3" induction systems. These will be made from cast alloy or stainless depending on the required application. The guys @fabwitz_industries have done some test fitting of 3d printed versions of these to see if they will give us alternator clearance and to make sure they are 100% aligned with their awesome stainless intakes they already produce.... Intake upgrades like this can make a huge improvement on even relatively standard turbo diesel engines. Once you start pushing the envelope they become mandatory. #R&D #aussiemade #designedinhouse

22.01.2022 This vehicle present with limp mode issues at random times. As you can see the factory boost control was allowing the boost to vary anywhere between 7psi to 23psi. And this was just on a full throttle power runs. At partial throttle we were seeing boost spikes as high as 30psi and as low as 2psi. This causes very high exhaust manifold pressure when it spikes high and extremely high exhaust gas temperatures when it doesnt make enough boost.... Both of these factors are leading causes of the dreaded grenade failure. Thankfully its a easy and cost effective fix to prevent it from happening. Once the Tillix boost control kit is fitted and setup, you will have reliable and consistent boost control under all conditions. We can supply, install and set the boost control system up here in Caboolture on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno for just $385.

22.01.2022 Here you go guys! S4 front mount intercooler kits available now through Fabwitz industries. They are doing a special introductory price for the first 5 customers. Far better efficiency than any top mount you can buy. No (illegal) bonnet cutting and paint matching scoops etc..

21.01.2022 Follow on from the Td42 intake manifold from earlier in the week. To speed up the process of finding an optimal port design for the Td42 manifold we decided a single runner will be used for simulation purposes. Changing shapes, angles and runner length would be less time consuming with this method and really let us fine tune to perfection rather than coming up with a good enough solution.... There was alot of actual flow bench data collected on a couple of variants of upgraded intake manifolds before we embarked on this endeavour. All very surprising results, some of the big $$ items performed extremely poorly with cheaper, 50mm lid lifts (almost back yard jobs) doing very well. What you see here is within reason the best possible port shape and length you can have in a boosted td42. Other designs can be better, at the sacrifice of the ability to leave the injector lines in place while fitting the manifold, however Certain considerations had to be made so the manifold doesn't take 5 hours to fit. The main aim of this project was to actually improve the design of the manifold rather than just help it along with changes to the top 50% of it. There is still Alot of work to be done before these become a reality and cost factors have to be taken Into account especially considering we want to keep these products designed and built in Australia not overseas. So stay tuned over the next few months.

20.01.2022 Gday all! This is just a quick PSA to let everyone know the Tillix website is currently down for routine maintenance as well as a much-needed facelift and upgrade. May take a couple of days and we would greatly appreciate your patience.... If anyone has orders they need to make urgently, you can still call or email them through and I can process them for you. Thanks All

20.01.2022 Status Update: For everyone that has messaged us enquiring about particular items being out of stock. Things are almost back to normal now, most items have been restocked and are available now. The inconel studs are still a few days away from being finished, the end of the week should be the target to get them out again.... We are in the process of updating our website to be a bit faster and easier to use, so will be periodically out of action. If you experience any trouble accessing products, just give it a couple of hours and try again. I do apologize for any inconvenience this causes anyone but we need to stay ahead of the curve and continue to improve and update everything on our end to be able to offer consistently high standards of service.

20.01.2022 What is your favorite?? Personally i like Nagasaki noisy boi Got a good one of your own? Post it up lets see who get the most likes.

20.01.2022 Excited to showcase some of the new products we have been working on for the guys over at Fabwitz. Corey approached us to see if we could come up with an improved design for their weld on MAF adaptor that would cut down on fitting time and amount of filler material required to actually weld it on (reducing the heat input to the workpiece dramatically) One simple hole saw is all that is required now rather than drilling and slotting a hole for the MAF. The step underneath actu...ally locates the MAF perfectly in the pipework as well. The second part is for their intercooler pipework, although we already supplied the SS sockets they use for these fittings, we thought we could make it look just a little bit better. Very proud to get to work with such awesome companies and design products to such a high standard. Currently made from SS304. They will be available in 6061 alloy as well in the future and to suit 3", 3.5" and 4" Tube size. These products are now proprietary to Fabwitz Industries, all requests to purchase them will need to be directed to them directly.

19.01.2022 Inconel stud kits are back in stock folks I know people have been waiting a while for these and we still do have limited stock (more than pictured here) So get in quick, ive got about 10 kits put aside for all the people that have sent messages in saying they need them urgently. So please get in quick if you are one of them.... We also have full stock of genuine Nissan gaskets and manifolds for all exhaust manifold repair jobs. Email [email protected] for pricing on partial or complete manifold repair kits. New product release: We will be selling full Inconel fastener kits to suit Barra engines. Massive shout out to the guys at ECPT Performance & Mechanical for helping us design and test on some big HP engines.

19.01.2022 First little solid prototype of the custom zd30 exhaust manifold bolt removal tool. Weld on maf adaptors won't be far behind.

18.01.2022 Small addition to our existing range of boost adaptors are laser etched logos. These will be released after our current stock levels of adaptors has been used up. New release also on the way PK Ranger adaptors almost off the production line finally.

17.01.2022 Our quality assurance employee monitors all orders carefully as they are processed. The hard working boy even works Sunday with us.

17.01.2022 Thank you to everyone for your patience over the last 2 weeks or so (I know its been highly inconvenient for all) I have just received delivery confirmation for the last few pieces we need to complete the boost control kits. They will be moved back in stock on the website once I have the parts packaged and ready to go (Hopefully wednesday, possibly thursday)... Inconel studs are fully stocked and ready to go, as well as all boost adaptors.

15.01.2022 Something for the Td42 gang to get excited about. Had this on the back burner for the better part of 10 years now but a bit of free time last week and some inspiration from a old mate thought I'd give it another go. The last design was stolen by a company that no longer exists thankfully. ... They will be done in 2 piece for reverse or standard entry (or custom) Flow simulations on this style are more than 50% higher than a standard manifold and only bettered by a zero runner type plenum which are incredibly hard to fit. No time frame as yet but give it a like share it on your pages etc.. If I get enough feedback and it looks like it could be a good seller than I will move it to the top of the list.

15.01.2022 Have a go at this absolute legend! Willpower is the strongest driving force a person can hope to have in their life and this guy has it all. Please jump on his youtube channel and check out the content he has made with friends and family. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZueZN5cnv_GngIpuyXmFfw

14.01.2022 Braided and Rubber Brake line special! Most people probably don't know but Caboolture Exhaust manufactures brake lines for a number of companies and they are doing a special for all makes and models in the coming months. However for the Tillix Performance, ZDWarrior and Modified ZD30 page members they will get a little extra discount over the usual.... Braided diff lines any length extension $75 each Rubber diff lines any length extension $50 each Braided Caliper lines $65 each. Rubber Caliper lines $45 each. Doesnt necessarily have to be a Patrol either, just mention this add when you ring up or email to [email protected] and the discount will be applied to the usual retail price. Custom lines can also be made for any application. All lines are ADR Approved, QLD TMR approved and made in house to order. Feel free to share this to any pages you are on.

14.01.2022 Had a couple of questions about the original Patrol TD42 manifold that I designed many years ago and what happened to it. Long story short, the files were left on a work computer. They were then sent off as a base for a cast manifold to be made. After performing the airflow simulations (under boost pressure!, not in a typical vacuum type flow bench) It showed that design with multiple air path changes was absolutely the same as a completely stock manifold and actually worse ...under certain conditions. The only real design feature that I was very proud of with this design was fastening bolts that could be done on the outside face of the plenum. Alas Form follows function and it was one of the nails in the coffin for this first draft. This was the end of revision 1 of the Tillix TD42 intake manifold before it ever made it off Solidworks. Stay tuned for how we came to the ideal design with countless hours of cad design and flow simulations with Solidworks.

14.01.2022 Aussie made and designed products for the future. Anyone out there forced to remain open and serve the public in a face to face manner have a serious think about investing in some screens to protect your employees from this new virus. It's a hard pill to swallow but keep in mind, if one of your staff members tests positive during this outbreak your establishment will be closed for a mandatory quarantine period.

12.01.2022 Check out the power and torque gains on this absolutely stock CRD patrol. TILLIX boost control with a few extra psi is the only mod done. Doesn't even have an exhaust upgrade yet. Vehicle now pulls away from 1500rpm in any gear without any hesitation, lag or boost bounce.... #valueformoneymods @cabooltureexhaust

12.01.2022 Check out this big rig all the way from Iceland! Johannes was kind enough to send through these snaps of his rig and a bit of feedback on the boost control kit we sent him a few weeks ago. Suffice to say, he it thrilled with the improvement it has made to his vehicle. Wish we could have them Setup like this here in Australia.

12.01.2022 We manufacture upgrade components for various vehicles, we also do the job of fitting these parts so when there is a need for a tool to be made to get the job done easier we do that to. Anyone that has replaced a ZD30 exhaust manifold knows how insanely tight and hard to get to the rear two manifold cover bolts are. So many people use a regular spanner and round these bolts off making the job a nightmare.... We will have these tools in the near future to save the hassle. Single hex drive for maximum contact on the bolt head. Will be a must have for any mechanic that works on the zd30 on a regular basis.

11.01.2022 Tune up today on the Ford F250 powered by the MWM 4.2L 18V Inline six cylinder engine. These are a very underrated engine out of the box due to the poor setup on the factory injector pump. A couple of other shops had a go tuning this vehicle and the lines in green (power and torque) were the best they could muster. As is quite typical of these setups the power delivery is over and out by about 3000-3200rpm generally.... After the injection pump is setup correctly, and with only 15psi of boost on a stock replacement turbo the, power delivery is wide with over 70% of maximum power available between 2000rpm and 4000rpm. A massive boost in torque within the useable rev range (2000rpm to 3000rpm) has also been achieved while keeping egt's low for safely towing heavy loads on a consistent basis as these big rigs were designed to do. A 3" Custom made exhaust system by Caboolture Exhaust and Mechanical was the only real aftermarket addon for this vehicle. Allowing the engine to breathe is crucial before attempting to add additional power through tuning.

11.01.2022 Check out this deal from Modified Diesel PERFORMANCE!

10.01.2022 Some awesome results from this 2012 CRD Patrol this week. Using our boost control system will transform the way your vehicle drives. This particular Patrol was pretty lacklustre (a bit worse than most) The main complaint from the customer was needing to be up above 3000rpm to have a useable amount of power while towing or in the soft sand. Not ideal in a manual vehicle from a standstill either.... Once the boost control system was fitted and tuned. That same power the engine was making at 3000rpm was now available at 2200rpm. Even more impressive again is the torque! @ 3000rpm with the factory boost control, 200nm is available. This same torque figure is actually achieved at just 1300rpm with the Tillix boost control system fitted. At 2000RPM this engine has achieved a 50% gain in power and torque These installations can be completed locally here on the dyno in Caboolture with a drive in drive out price of just $385 all inclusive. Exhaust, Intercooler & Air Intake upgrades can also be completed at the same time if required.

10.01.2022 All boost control kits are now back in stock people. Webstore is open for orders and thank you for your patience.

10.01.2022 Last job for the day getting finished up bagging and tagging the days orders and sending off tracking information for all the customers. Nothing leaves here unless it is in an express satchel or priority overnight! #thegrind

09.01.2022 Sneak peek of another product we are adding to our store very soon. Proper egr delete kits for all Td42Ti Nissan patrols. Not just a plate and a joiner but a full kit everything you need to do the job properly without having to use silicone as a gasket. These will be up on the website in the near future. If you need one asap give us a call or send an email.

09.01.2022 No rest for the wicked. Staying up late to make time for all the pictures to be taken so we can get these exhaust manifold repair kits up on the Web store. For now you can contact us via email [email protected] or facebook messenger for pricing and availability... Alot of the hours small business owners put in don't get seen most of the time. But it's late nights and Alot of sacrifice to get a company off the ground. Thank you to everyone that has supported our small business over the last 4 years and we hope to be serving the wider automotive industry for many more years to come. .

08.01.2022 Great results on this crd patrol today. No more surging while trying to accelerate and a good amount more power and torque with cooler egts as well. We firmly believe this is the best value for money modification you could ever make to a Zd30 Nissan patrol.

07.01.2022 Aussie owned and made products for the win! This is how it is going to be for the future once this catastrophe blows over. If you need signage for your business, to help customers understand they need to give your staff members distance during this period to stop the spread of the virus. Give these guys a call!... Local small family business, locally sourced materials, keep the money in Australia and help stop the spread of this virus.

07.01.2022 Some more sneak pics of the ultimate stock location zd30 intake that is being engineered. Clearance is clearance however there will be a small change made to the final product to give that alternator output a little more wiggle room. It's so important to be able to print a part and physically fit it rather than just relying on computer sims and measurements.... @fabwitz_industries thanks for the fit up on the test mule. @ Elimbah, Queensland, Australia

07.01.2022 This is the new revision of the weld on maf housing for the legends at FabWitz Industries After a little trial and error and checking ease of fitment in the previous version, it was realized that although it looked nice and pretty it was a bit tedious to fit and required a fair bit of time using a saw and drill to prep the tube for it. This design, we tried to simplify the installation, requiring just a hole saw to make the hole in the tube. The locator on the inside of the a...daptor is there to ensure the part self locates square and centrally inside the tube. Collaborations between Australian companies are going to be so important in the next few years following the fallout of this Pandemic. Bringing back Design, development, and innovation into Australia.

06.01.2022 Amazing machines to watch 3d printers. This poor little guy has been worked to death over the last few years and keeps on keeping on. Doing some final testing on the zd30 exhaust manifold cover bolt Spanner.... No amount of simulation or cad design can ever replace having a solid part in your hand to test clearances and tolerances.

05.01.2022 To all of our customers and all the companies that have supported us to help get the Tillix brand off the ground over the years. Thank you. We will be taking a couple of weeks' holiday in the very near future. Meaning all orders will be put on hold during that time frame. All products will be listed as out of stock on our website for the holiday period. It has been 5 years on the trott since the ... Tillix operation kickstarted without a break in the workload so far. Once the few weeks are up, we will be working tirelessly to getting all the back orders filled and sent out.

05.01.2022 https://www.tillix.com.au/mechanical-diesel-engine-tuning/ Alot of people have read this and used this guide over the years without knowing where it came from. Well it came from me originally on a Patrol forum way back in 2011 and had over 2,000,000 views before I brought it over to my web page so I could modify and update it if necessary.

05.01.2022 Massive shoutout to the guys at BBGarage for making this video showing the difference a good boost control system can make to the ZD30 Patrol.

03.01.2022 Anyone that does fab work should check out the gear these guys make! Nice portable solution bandsaw solution.

03.01.2022 Anyone keen for some new merch? To go along with our new easier to navigate website which is now live we have shirts, caps and stubbie coolers. They will be available on the webstore soon but for now I will be running a little lucky dip draw soon to give away the first little batch. Stay tuned for more info

03.01.2022 Merry Christmas everybody. We will be taking a little time off over the festive period. The website will remain open for orders currently but they will be a few days behind in their packaging and dispatch over the usual next business day lead time.... Email will be the best method of communication until the 11th of January as I will he frequently out of mobile range. Happy holidays and stay safe all.

02.01.2022 Inconel studs are back in stock!

01.01.2022 Thanks for the feedback Ryan. Always puts a smile on our face to read them at the end of a long day.

01.01.2022 This is just a PSA for all ZD30 CRD Owners. Certain models generally 07-09 CRD had some issues with oil pump screws (bolts) coming loose. It is a rare occurrence but can cost people a lot of money if not diagnosed correctly. Sometimes you get a warning shot like this vehicle did with a strange whine/singing noise increasing with engine RPM due to the bolt getting munched by the gears and causing issues.... Alot of the time though, the bolt simply falls to the sump without any issues. Once enough screws/bolts fall out the oil pressure becomes dangerously low, but not low enough to cause an oil pressure light! We see customers have a turbocharger failure. A workshop replaces it without due process and another failure in quick succession. They then try to blame the replacement turbo as being a dud as its an easy out. They might replace it again and suffer the same problem again before they start looking for the root cause of the issue. The lesson in this is never accept a failure as a "just because" Ascertain the cause of the failure the first time and don't be that workshop or customer paying for 2-3-4 repairs as a result of it.

01.01.2022 This sums a mechanics life up perfectly! Good work Evolution Tuning we normally get the car on a tow truck because another shop started it, but cant finish it.
