25.01.2022 I love my job and knowing that I have helped to change the lives of my client for the better!!! After all the hard work and sweat, my client was finally approved a Permanent Partner (subclass 801) visa even though her relationship with her former husband and sponsor had ceased some time ago. A big congratulations to my wonderful client!!!

24.01.2022 Your clients interest is ultimate!!! When I was still in my final year of laws school, my lecturer once said to me: "Tim, your clients interest should be protected at the highest level, but through legal means only. Handle your clients matter with high level and degree of professionalism, diligence, integrity and care". Over the years, I have tried my very best to fulfil my legal obligation to all my clients and uphold justice. Maybe only after when I retire (in the next ...10 years???) from the legal profession, then I will be able to escape this duty. In recent years, I have witnessed many changes in this industry. These days, many young practitioners or agents are just too busy focussing on making money; forgetting their duty and obligation to their clients. I have witnessed agents purposely getting their clients applications refused so they can charge the client more at the appeal level. To the extreme, there are also these so-called "unregistered/unlicensed agents" who will try to sweet talk the clients into paying them a high fee, promising the World to the client...but the reality is the client will be left out-of-pocket and with no other option but to depart Australia or choose to live unlawfully in Australia. I am very fortunate to have a supportive family and many wonderful clients, who have continued to support me through all these years. This has allowed me to continue with my work, perform my legal duty to my clients and sleep comfortably at night without having too much headaches.

19.01.2022 One of my greatest joy of being a solicitor is seeing families being reunited. This case involved a complex Dependent Child Visa that took me over 1 year to complete due to the many difficulties in getting the father of the child to sign a declaration confirming he has no objection to his daughter migrating to Australia to be with the childs mother. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO MOTHER & CHILD WHO WILL FINALLY BE REUNITED IN AUSTRALIA AFTER THE LONG WAIT!!!

13.01.2022 Its now time to say goodbye to PROTECTION VISA!!! Over the years, I have tackled so many complex refugee, humanitarian and protection visa cases. I have assisted over 3,000 vulnerable clients to settle in Australia; a land of hope, dream, freedom and democracy. While I have gained so much: joy, happiness and a great sense of accomplishment knowing that I have helped to make a real difference to change the lives of my clients. However, after many sleepless nights, headaches, stress and thousands of pages of submissions to the Department, I feel now is the right time to say goodbye. As of today (13/06/2020), Tim Pham Lawyers will no longer be accepting any new refugee, humanitarian and protection visa matters. Thank you for all your love and support over the years.

07.01.2022 Is age just a number when it comes to finding your true love? Over the years, I have acted in many complex migration and family domestic violence cases, but this matter below rank as the most memorable for all wrong reasons: Case 1: A client in his late 70s thought he had found the love of his life after dating a woman in her early 30s and getting marry... Mr T thought he had found the love of his life in Ms N after he was introduced to Ms N by his sister in Vietnam. After dating for less than 2 weeks, the couple decided to register their marriage with the Vietnamese Marriage registry in Ho Chi Minh City. Soon Mr T came to the realization that he had probably made the biggest mistake of his life by marrying someone who was 30 years his junior. When Ms N arrived in Australia as a holder of a Provisional Partner (subclass 309) visa, she had a calculative plan: she did not want to remain with Mr T and would do anything to get her permanent residency status in Australia at all costs. Ms N acting under the advice of a migration agent in Cabramatta, was intending to use the family violence provision to gain her permanent residency status without requiring the sponsorship from Mr T. What Ms N did was she tried to paint a picture of Mr T as an abusive husband and problematic gambler. She would secretly record Mr T yelling at her and would keep a dairy of all these events, but off course all of this was fabricated and manufactured by Ms N. Ms Ns plan had backfired after our legal team was successful in getting Mr T acquitted for domestic violence. To further foil Ms Ns plan of obtaining permanent residency in Australia, we provided lengthy submissions to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection to address all the relevant issues regarding Ms N fabricated claim made under the family violence provision, supported by lengthy witness statements from the couples mutual friends and neighbours. After running out of options, Ms N through her migration agent then lodged a Protection (subclass 866) visa application, putting forward a claim that she would be murdered by Mr Ts family in Vietnam if she was forced to return to Vietnam. The moral of the story is: When it comes to true love, age is indeed just a number, a large digit number $$$ if you can afford it.
