21.01.2022 A very busy day today. This afternoon I attended the launch of the consultation period for the Legana School and this evening had the pleasure of being at the official launch of Turners Stillhouse

19.01.2022 Council meeting day. Looking forward to a significant update as to the progress of the Legana School from DoE

17.01.2022 It's that time again. Doing my semi-regular spot on City Park Radio with Tony Webb talking about issues pertaining to the West Tamar. As usual, audio will be up on my website shortly.

17.01.2022 The West Tamar Council understands that the COVID-19 pandemic is having a profound effect on our community. With a social and economic impact being felt, many w...ill be experiencing some degree of financial and personal hardship. A range of measures are currently being discussed around how we can further support our community, and our website has the latest media releases from Local Government Association of Tasmania and the West Tamar Council around these issues here: www.wtc.tas.gov.au/Home/Latest-News

13.01.2022 Council meeting day. LOTS of planning issues on today's agenda. For those interested, keep an eye out for a big announcement about the Legana school on Friday.

13.01.2022 Done and dusted. Looks like we have had our last Zoom meeting for Council., Back to face to face from here on in.

10.01.2022 It's that time again. Audio will be up on the website later today.

09.01.2022 For West Tamar cat owners

09.01.2022 It has certainly been a while since I have posted here. It is amazing how much you find you have to do when you are in lock down. Council has made the move to the virtual environment extremely well with all workshops, committee meeting and Council Meetings occurring via the Zoom platform. As you can see above, it's a bit like the start of the Brady Bunch during a virtual Council Meeting. I also visited City Park Radio today for my usual spot with Tony Webb. This audio from this will be up on my web page later today.

07.01.2022 Don't forget those who are interested in being involved with the Legana School development, the community workshop is on tonight at Windsor Community Precinct

06.01.2022 Tasmanians #stayhomesavelives

05.01.2022 Its not every day you share an Infrastructure Committee meeting with a wombat.

03.01.2022 Doing my regular spot on City Park Radio. As usual, if you want to listen to the audio, it will be up on my website shortly.

03.01.2022 Council meeting day. A few big change as Council welcomes its newest elected member Councillor Jess Greene, who replaces Carol Bracken who resigned from Council back in mid-June, and it is the last meeting with our Municipal Planner Andrew Brown, who is moving to Queensland with his partner at the end of July. Welcome Jess, farewell Andrew and good luck to you both.

02.01.2022 Some sorry news for those who enjoy the outdoor spaces we have here in the West Tamar. Remember, Social Distancing is important. It could save lives

01.01.2022 It's that time again. I will be on City Park radio playing some music and talking things Council related with Tony Webb from about 12.30pm today. Unfortunately (or fortuantely for some) this will be the last time I am on City Park Radio in my role as a West Tamar Councillor. The Mayor has made the decision that the Mayor alone should represent the Council on radio and the press in general, therefore I must relinquish my spot on air. It has been a great experience for me since first appearing with Tony in January 2018, and I thank all those listeners who have contacted me to discuss Council related matters.

01.01.2022 Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, there will be an interruption to our normal services. We are happy to accept enquiries, but we cannot guarantee that you w...ill receive a response or resolution within the usual time frames. The safety and well-being of staff, Councillors, volunteers and the community continues to be our top priority. For further information on our response to COVID-19, please visit our website: www.wtc.tas.gov.au/Home/COVID-19
