25.01.2022 They say a change is as good as a holiday! So I put my engineering and fabrication hat on to help out a friend. My friend needed a lifting device for his concrete blocks so i whipped this one up out of some 130mm x 12mm flat bar and some 50mm round bar i had lying around.... It worked first time and doesn't require any modifications. Why can't it be like this with timber? 22.01.2022 Quit day at the markets yesterday and couldn't attend today so I'm putting a few of my favorites up at a reduced price for today only and will deliver within reason. The first two insanely couloured camphor lamps are from the one tree fork. The first one (the fat lamp) Is normally $250 and the second (tall skinny lamp) $180. I'll do a package on the pair for $350. Next is a baby tree fork camphor lamp that I'll let go for $70 instead of $90.... 21.01.2022 The Silver Quondong Tall Boy Dresser. I built this dresser two Christmases ago, it took me a month to complete. The Silver Quondong came from the grounds of Sarina Saw Mill just south of Mackay in North QLD and would have been seasoned for no less than 50 years. My neighbor had recently finished building his house and brought all his left over tiles and laminate flooring to me. He said I don't hold onto shit, you'll do something with it. So I did.... The drawer boxes are made from Parador solid timber laminate flooring and the 12 drawer bases are a 600mm x 300mm Bluestone tile worth $50 each. There's easily $1000 worth of Silver Quondong in this unit, the tiles of course are free. I've been told in the past its worth around $3800 but know thats a pipe dream. It has sat in my dining room for nearly two years without use and the tax man just sent me a nasty bill so it has to go. I thought I had it sold yesterday but it fell through, I still have it loaded in the trailer ready for delivery if anyone is interested. $2200 ONO Welcome to drob by and take a look if interested. @ Clothiers Creek Road
