02.01.2022 Syzygium cormiflorum ( Bumpy Satinash) are flowering at the moment. They only seem to have a really good fruiting every 2-3 years and this season seems to be one of them! They are a great revegetation, food and shade tree. Being part of the Lilly Pilly family makes this tree a very hardy and reliable specimen. The flowers appear on 'bumps' along the trunk, followed by big, fleshy white fruit that is actually not bad eating ( if you are hungry). The photo was taken by Garry Sankowsky
