24.01.2022 Prep Transition! With the easing of restrictions, we are thrilled to be able to offer our 2021 Prep students the opportunity to have their very first transition session on-site here at Orchard Park Primary School! This will provide our students with a chance to explore our wonderful facilities and begin familiarising themselves with their school in preparation for next year. We ask that all parents please book their child in to one of the offered time slots through the links provided in the email. Unfortunately, these sessions are only available to the 2021 Prep students at this point. We hope to be able to have our Year 1 -6 students onsite soon. If you have any questions, please send a direct message through Facebook.

22.01.2022 And just like that, our staff grew from 2 to 3!!! Please join me in welcoming Danny Forster as our inaugural Assistant Principal. Danny comes to us with with significant expertise and experience in leading and implementing a broad range of whole school initiatives. He is going to be an incredible asset for our school. Danny will be joining the Timbertop team from the beginning of Term 4 as we continue to prepare to open our doors for the beginning of the 2021 school year. Bel...ow is a brief message from Danny introducing himself. My name is Danny Forster and I am incredibly excited to be joining Timbertop Primary (interim name) as an Assistant Principal. I am coming from Pakenham Springs Primary School, where I have worked since 2013. During my time at Pakenham Springs I have filled various roles, including the last three years as Assistant Principal. I bring a strong understanding, among other things, of the Professional Learning Community framework, and look forward to bringing this to Timbertop. I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to build a positive, vibrant, dynamic and student-centred learning environment at Timbertop, that provides opportunities for all students to thrive. I look forward to getting to know all of our community members in coming months.

22.01.2022 Another day, another exciting announcement to share.... We are thrilled to let everyone know that in 2021 we will be attending Woorabinda Camp as a whole school!!! Set in beautiful bushland on the shores of Lake Narracan in the Latrobe Valley, Woorabinda School Camp offers a unique camping experience for all students who attend. The finer details will be shared with all families early next year but our initial plans involve our Prep-2 students attending for a day excursion, our 3-4 students will come up for an overnight camp experience and our 5-6 students will stay for 2 nights!! We have a confirmed booking for Term 3 and after many of our students missed out on camp experiences in 2020, this is an event that everyone can look forward to. :)

18.01.2022 We are thrilled to announce that our school uniform is going to be available for purchase from PSW’s Officer store from Monday December 14th. Uniform bookings can now be made through PSW. All students joining Orchard Park Primary School in 2021 will receive their bookbag free of charge! These will be distributed to students at the beginning of the school year and do not need to be ordered through PSW. We thank George, Steph and the team at PSW for this generous donation as a ...way of celebrating our first year. A number of families have been asking about footwear. The Uniform Policy and expectation for all students is that they will wear black shoes as part of their uniform. These can be either leather shoes or runners. They must however be predominantly black. If families have any further questions around the uniform, please do not hesitate to contact us directly through our Facebook Messenger.

15.01.2022 What an unbelievably awesome day we have had at Orchard Park Primary School today!!! It was so wonderful to be able to welcome some of our 2021 Prep students on-site in small groups as they began their transition to primary school. They all did such a brilliant job and we can't wait to have them back on-site very soon :)

14.01.2022 More amazing news..... The most recent Operations Guidelines from the department has given the green light for our whole school transition day to go ahead on December 8th!! This will mean that EVERY student beginning at Orchard Park Primary School in 2021 will be able to attend the day to meet their classroom teacher and their classmates as well as familiarise themselves with all of our school facilities. The other great news we have received is that we can begin taking scho...ol tours for our parents!!! Woo hoo!!! We will still need to adhere to COVID safe plans and we are currently finalising all of these plans. More information about school tours and the specific details of our transition day will be distributed to all families in the next couple of days. We are so thrilled that we can start to share our beautiful school with all members of our whole school community. What a great week it has been :)

09.01.2022 A question we are being asked by many prospective families is, Will the school be ready to open at the beginning of the 2021 school year? The answer to this question is a resounding YES!! This will provide us with plenty of time to be ready for the beginning of the 2021 school year. Don’t forget if you have any questions about anything, you can message through the Facebook page.

05.01.2022 Hello to our Orchard Park Primary School Community, At Orchard Park, in 2021 and beyond, we are planning to have a house system in which all students belong to a house. Students will represent their houses in whole-school events such as cross-country or athletics days and earn points towards their houses through their learning actions daily. We are seeking suggestions from our community regarding possible house names. We are wondering whether there have been some historical f...igures of note in the area, responsible for developing Officer as a township or farming the land in the Timbertop estate. We are also open to different suggestions too, outside of historical figures if people would like to put forth any ideas they may have. Please follow the link below to a google document in which community members can share their thoughts. https://forms.gle/UWPrASsKK7xYuBxs6
