25.01.2022 Working from home? By tailoring this desk to fit from wall to wall it imeditely transformed the room making it feel larger and streamlined the space. Actually it was the client's idea - I had designed them a free standing piece with legs but they wanted the freedom of a floating top without legs getting in the way. We added in some concealed drawers for elegant storage and there is a cable tray that runs along the back of the desk. 01.01.2022 Huon Table #5 When this board was trimmed, tension that had been held in knot in the timber was released. A large section of the board sprung out, to remedy this situation Nick bored out holes in the timber and filled them resin creating resin dowels. This releases the tension in the timber and provides stability and ties it back in to the structure. The piece that sprang out was clamped down until the resin set.
