21.01.2022 From 11:59pm Tuesday groups of 10 people can participate in outdoor activities in Victoria whilst maintaining social distancing Premier Dan Andrews has just ann...ounced. More details to come but we have confirmed hunting is one of the activities enabled by this easing of COVID-19 restrictions. No travel limit but no overnight stays or camping. Some National Parks will reopen. UPDATE; 12:44pm We expect the restriction on the sale of firearms and ammunition will be lifted at the same time as the restriction on hunting. Through our advocacy we were aware this was the approach being considered in Victoria. Heart Morass will be open for hunting. We will provide more details later today. We are compiling information for Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and NSW in relation to hunting and clay target. We will issue full advice later today.

17.01.2022 ATTENTION CHRISTMAS SHOOT DETAILS PLEASE READ!!!! We are currently in discussions about the Christmas shoot next month and if and or how we can conduct the shoot with the most attendance available in a safe manner (following all COVID rules and regulations). We want to make the shoot available to as many people as possible and in doing this we need to get a gage on how many people would be attending the shoot because it won’t be able to be run like we usually would. If you ...can attend please leave a comment on this post simply saying yes and how many people. Please doo this and share this post with as many people possibly we need to get a good gage on the people interested as this would determine weather it would be shot over two days or just one to get the people through under the current restrictions. We hope all our Melbourne friends will be aloud out to attend the shoot by this stage also. Shoot options for the club at this stage . If We get good amounts of interest we would like to keep the shoot as 100tgts but it would have to be shot straight at this point in time unfortunately. We have limited resources to set 100tgts straight but have a few different formats to get it to work . With over 50 competitors we would offer Saturday and Sunday sessions ie can nominate to shoot Saturday morning shoot 100tgts and your done for the shoot . There would be a morning session and an afternoon session and most likely all squads would start each session at once ie. ( squad 1 start stand 1 squad 2 start stand 2 ect all starting at the same time and shooting till the have shot all stations. If we get low interest we would most likely just use the same format but just shoot on the Sunday and cap the shoot at 50 shooters . The shoot will be pre nominations also so keep that in mind and we will most likely try to get that going over the next few weeks . We mainly just want to be able to offer the most spots possible to all those possible as we believe we owe everyone that . We most likely won’t be asking our sponsors for anything this year as it’s been a tough year on the shooting industry and outhers and we don’t think it would be fair to ask for sponsorship at this point in time . Thanks for taking the time to read and we hope you can all make it and we can safely enjoy our biggest shoot off the year and don’t forget to comment your interest in this post or give someone at the club a call President Colin simpson 0429 206 180

Everyone will be asked to leave immediately after they are done shooting and follow all the Covid-19 rules and regulations ... Regarding the no pre nominations when people arrive they will simply pay there noms and wait in there car till they are called. We understand its not ideal but its the safest way. 08.01.2022 Echuca Moama Field & Game along with Pinegrove Gun Club and Barrook Field and Game Sporting Clays Assoc are saddened to announce that, as most of you probably e...xpected, the 2020 Golden Rivers Classic will NOT be going ahead. We thank our very generous sponsors who were so very happy to jump on board again this year, and we thank you all for your understanding. We hope you are all keeping well and we look forward to seeing you all around the traps when this is all over. The Golden Rivers Classic will be back in 2021, bigger and better than ever. 07.01.2022 Update: firearm and ammunition restrictions from Victoria Police. On Monday May 11 2020, the Victorian Government provided an update regarding the current COVID...-19 restrictions and have allowed some outdoor recreational activities to take place whilst maintaining social distancing. The Licensing and Regulation Division are able to announce that, the temporary ban on the selling, loaning and hiring of firearms and ammunition for the reasons of Sport or Target Shooting, Clay Target Shooting and Recreational hunting will be lifted as of Tuesday 12 May, 2020 at 11:59pm. You must continue to practice social distancing and should only be undertaking these activities if you really need to. It is integral to your health and wellbeing. The Licensing and Regulation Division aims to minimise disruption in the industry as much as possible. Given this, we would like to assure you that licence holders will not have to reapply for a Permit to Acquire (PTA) if they applied to the Licensing and Regulation Division prior to 31 March 2020. Additionally, we will be prioritising these applications prior to any new applications that are sent to the Licensing and Regulation Division. These applications will be assessed and processed in an orderly fashion. Where a pre-payment for the PTA fee was made, applicants will not face further costs from the Licensing and Regulation Division.
