22.01.2022 Yesterday I got inspired by a photograph a customer sent me of some of her beautiful bracelets she had bought from us over the years. It was a request to add to the her collection ... so I dug in to my collection of rare old trade beads and silver talismans and made some rather lovely collectable bracelets for the shop. These beads are finite and made in Venice 100+ years ago. They are my FAVOURITE beads (along with turquoise) ...Eva

21.01.2022 PHEW ... this has been the most hectic & busy time. I'm sorry it took us so long to inform you all, both on facebook and on our website, that we are closing down. This time forever. Finito . Farewell .... We got absolutely slammed as soon as the sale sign went up on the building. There is still a lot of stock left . but it is going fast. Rugs, pottery and baskets are getting very low. Everybody asks us how long we will be open until, and the answer is : until most of the stock is gone. We originally predicted this might be around Easter, but we now realise that we will be lucky to make it to Christmas. Everybody also asks us what are we going to do now?, and well, we are not going to leave town as it's our home, and pretty much the loveliest place on earth. We are just going to chill out and go to the beach ... for a bit... It has been a glorious OVER A QUARTER OF A CENTURY !!! that we have operated this business, and now it's time to move on.. IMPORTANT NEWS!!! In about two weeks time we will start the BIG BEAD SALE. Watch this space. For the moment, come and join us as there are some beautiful bargains to be had. 50% off most things, except antiques which have 25%- 40% off and some jewellery items which have 25%-50% off. We are super busy and might not be able to answer the phone, but we will do our best to serve you if you come in . Eva These are just some Happy snaps of our beautiful shop . PS: If you love our shop please share this post so that nobody misses out on our beautiful bargains.

17.01.2022 So, after a glorious & splendid holiday in Greece (no buying, just holiday), we are now open again for the rest of the year gods willing.... This week I've made some little winter warmers....Rich coral and turquoise. Lovely and colourful around the neck. We picked up the bigger pieces of coral earlier in the year, and they are very beautiful as well as rare . Keep warm!! love eva
16.01.2022 In the new year I've been inspired to go back to my more African/ Ethnic style of Jewellery making. These two necklaces are all with rare beads and pendants. I've made them as light as possible but still with massive points of interest. Thinking of them as little paintings. I am really enjoying this, but they take quite some time to do. I hope to do one or two more this afternoon....hope you like them. Eva

14.01.2022 Whilst our rectangular Moroccan baskets are still at half price, this little combination of a kikoy and basket make the perfect Christmas gift at $51.50 for this combination. The kikoys are made in Kenya and traditionally worn as a sarong but they are equally fantastic as a towel or even a table cloth for a picnic. The kikoys come in a multitude of beautiful colours and the rectangular baskets come in four sizes. This gift has summer written all over it.
