25.01.2022 Just called in to see Frank at the Newstead Enviroshop and do a quick topup recharge of the all electric Nissan Leaf ZE1. Our local sustainability group, Transition Creswick, is coordinating the test-driving for the Hepburn Wind EV Bulk Buy. To book yourself a drive in one of our two cars go to https://www.goodcar.co/hepburn-wind... Or, find Katherine at Daylesford Market this Sunday to see a car for real.

17.01.2022 I am privileged to have worked alongside a number of strong and kind women candidates and supporters throughout my campaign. It is inspiring to see there are other ways to 'do' democracy. This quote from Jacinta Ardern inspires and instructs me. Let’s all continue to be kind.

16.01.2022 I've been talking to quite a few people concerned about fire risk issues and how to better manage them. I see the Kingston CFA are running this Grassfire Planning Workshop Webinar this coming Tuesday. The CFA are such an important part of our community fabric. Tune in if you can.

13.01.2022 Here are your new Hepburn Shire Councillors for the next 4 year term. I'm looking forward to being a part of it all and working for my community. Congratulations to everyone elected and commiserations to those who didn't quite make it over the line.

11.01.2022 For the past two evenings I have been meeting with Kingston & District Power Alliance, Clarke's Hill Power Alliance and Save Wattle Flat Group on the issue of the Western Victoria Transmission Network Project. A number of like minded candidates, including Jen Bray for Birch Ward below, have been actively interested in and engaging with their local communities on this important issue. Over the next few weeks Ausnet will be narrowing the parameters for a preferred route which s...eems at odds to the aims of the Environmental Effects Statement that is still being undertaken. What people can do at the moment is tell Ausnet what is important about our local area. You can drop a pin on the map via the following link about places you think are unique, special or valued in our area. I really want to see the best outcome for our community on this issue. https://www.westvictnp.com.au//tell-us-whats-important-to- See more

07.01.2022 Congratulations to Cr Lesley Hewitt elected Mayor and to Brian Hood elected Deputy Mayor.

06.01.2022 It's official. Our newly elected councillors were all sworn in to office this evening. It was a somewhat solitary low-key Covid Safe event. We live-streamed online without an audience. Now our work truly begins. First up we begin on a new Community Engagement Plan. We will be calling for your input.

02.01.2022 A very sad day yesterday with the culturally significant Djab Wurrung Directions Tree cut down as part of the expansion of the Western Highway to Ararat. The Djab Wurrung Embassy is calling for support on the ground today as the Grandfather tree is expected to be felled. If you cannot attend you can also call Dan Andrews' office on 9651 5000 and say 'I'm calling to register my protest against the works on Djab Wurrung country'. Your support could make a difference.
