25.01.2022 Yesterday morning a client called to report that one of their laptops had been stolen over the weekend which was left inside a company car. While blocking access to this users account and resetting passwords we noticed that their antivirus software was showing that the laptop was active and gave us its current location. We immediately called the client who called the police to give them the laptop's address. We can happily report that both the car and the laptop have been recovered by the police.

21.01.2022 It seems the Origin Energy scammers have turned their attention to Energy Australia customers now, emailing fake invoices with malicious files attached. Energy Australia Customers should be on the lookout for senders with the domain 'energyagent.net'. As always, we strongly advise you to never click on any links/attachments in emails provided by senders who you do not know.... https://www.bit.com.au//scammers-now-targeting-energyaustr

13.01.2022 We have been helping the guys from Lah-Lah this week who have had issues with the speed of their website. When selecting hosting for their website a lot of people think that the cheapest hosting will be fine and not make much difference. We transitioned their website to our servers and this is the biggest difference we have ever seen. Here are the results: Before & After

07.01.2022 Hackers are trying their luck with phishing email scams again, this time loading the attachments up with the 'Locky' ransomware virus. They seem to be sending emails with generic subject and attachment names such as "please print", "scans" and "documents". As always, we urge you to be careful with what attachments you open in your emails and check if the sender is legitimate. If you're not sure if the attachment is safe, then it's best not to open it at all. At which point, you should mark the email as spam and block the sender. https://www.itnews.com.au//hackers-launch-massive-locky-ra

07.01.2022 Microsoft have recently begun to advise Office 365 clients in a much more direct approach that they do not backup or offer any restore options to data that is hosted in the Office 365 environment, this includes email, calendar, contact, Share-point and One-drive content.

03.01.2022 With the knowledge that Microsoft do not offer any backup or restore functions to the Office 365 platform TimeIT have partnered with Datto to bring our clients and any other Office 365 subscribers a customized solution to provide business continuity for any data stored within the Office 365 environment, this includes email messages, email contacts and calendar items - one-drive and share-point data.

02.01.2022 TimeIT with our partner Datto are excited to be able to offer our clients the most comprehensive backup and business continuity product we have ever experienced. Our Datto subscribed clients no longer have the stress of exchanging backup tapes or drives each day or week, no more carting backup drives back and forth from home to work. For a small monthly fee your data is backed up locally onsite and externally to a tier one data centre in the "cloud" (Sydney in this instance). Better still - your data is scanned so no nasty viruses, ransomware or malware is forming part of your backed up critical data! If ransomware is spotted, it is not backed up and you are advised of the infection - the data or system can then be restored from the clean Datto environment. Any inquiries please direct to [email protected]
