20.01.2022 Community Circles of Strength - A creative and positive community response to COVID Thank you to all of who have been interviewed for this wonderful community project. If you live or work in Newcastle East end and would love to give us 5 mins of your time, please ring either Max ( 0437653317) or Anne (0408483913).... We are filming each Friday, and it would be great to have you involved (open to all ages) This placemaking project from a Newcastle Council grant about capturing people’s responses to COVID..We are making short video’s (2-3 mins) and then having fibre artists make circles of strength art works based on each persons responses (The artworks will be displayed in hoops (Circles of Strength). We are hoping to interview 120 people with a range of people living, working and visiting in the Newcastle East postcode area. Circles of Strength artwork will be displayed publicly as an outdoor installation on International Women’s Day 2021 and a series of video’s will be made of each person’s responses
