14.01.2022 A review from the 2017 Melbourne Magic Festival we just came across. "The boys also went to see Melbourne local Tim Ellis show called This is Magic. Tim is known throughout the world as the face of Australian magic and has won numerous magic awards at international level. I must confess that I know Tim through some of our common friends and I have corresponded with him a couple of times says Fab, He is a great person, his show was simple and elegant, a master magician s...howing you some of the routines that he has been working on through the years. Fab was inspired by the beautiful and meaningful discourse, his FISM* cup and ball routine, his three rings routine, ball manipulation, the classics, everything was so beautiful. Most impressive of all were the most beautiful stories, full of meaning and easily relatable. I wish that his show could have gone for another few hours, it was so easy to watch. Each show has been handcrafted with love, and the fellowship of some of the worlds greatest magicians, people I am proud to call my friends. I could easily list another 50 magicians Id love to chat with, but as each episode has taken an average of 6 hours to create, its time to take the rest of my life off hold and get back to producing the Melbourne Magic Festival, The Laneway Theatre, and my o...wn private and corporate shows. Magician Tim Ellis is joining our 2020 Foster and Kinship Care Virtual Picnic on Sunday!!! WHO is TIM? Tim Ellis is known throughout the world as the face of Australian magic and been chosen three times to represent Australia on the Jury at the FISM World Championships of Magic. He is also the Artistic Director and founder of The Melbourne Magic Festival and owner of The Laneway Theatre. Tim has been awarded many titles including Best Stage Magician in Australia, Best Close up Magician in Australia, and was the first Australian ever to win twice at the FISM World Championships of Magic. Since then, Tim has also lectured, performed as a guest artist and is now a regular Jury Member at the World Championships. Tim has been buried alive, escaped from a wooden crate at the bottom of the Yarra River, freed himself from straitjackets hundreds of feet above city streets, and driven a $100,000 sports car while blindfolded. 08.01.2022 I can't believe how busy things are getting! I am doing a Zoom Show for all the families of students in a college tonight, then an adult birthday celebration, I have two corporate meetings where I get to liven things up for them, several school groups and about a dozen Scout Meetings to perform for. Despite this, there are still times in the day (and night) when I am still available (and affordable) to make a virtual appearance at YOUR place and amaze YOUR guests as well!
