25.01.2022 At Matraville RSL on Tuesday, It looked as though ‘Hotshots’ were going to nab that first prize, getting off to a great start in the first few rounds. But it was ‘Coastbusters’ who swooped in at the last minute to take first place, relegating ‘Hotshots’ to 2nd place, followed by newcomers ‘SciPi’ in 3rd. 25.01.2022 Thursday’s at the Queenslander trivia was a close race on Thursday! ‘Blakeytown’ came into the middle round with a minus score but the come-back was amazing! ‘Fire and Ice’ had the lead for most the night, but ‘Losing not bad trump lost’ was close behind all night and ended up on top! 23.01.2022 It's been a crazy year but we finished things off with another good night at Wynnum RSL - and, despite starting with a points handicap, it was another win for "Twisted Sisters"! Second, after forging a big lead, at one stage, were "My Favourite Team" with "Titanic Swim Team" snatching third place, after an unprecedented 3 correct answers in the "Pass The Buck" round. Please note that, despite earlier announcements, we will not be back next week, after all, unfortunately. Instead, the fun returns at Wynnum RSL on Monday 4th January 2021. 23.01.2022 Well! What a riveting scoreboard that was at Cookies Lounge on Thursday night! The numbers were close there for a while, but congratulations are in order for ‘3 Amigos’ for winning 1st prize! Coming in at 2nd place was ‘Trivia Newton John’, followed by ‘Storm In A D Cup’. Next Thursday 7pm, 17th Dec, will be the last trivia night of the year at Cookies Lounge & Bar before we take a 2 week break, so make sure you don't miss out folks!

21.01.2022 What a fun night at Trivia at Acacia Ridge Hotel on Tuesday. We welcomed a few new teams. The regulars were fighting it out for top place through the night with ‘Brexit’ holding top place for a little while which was exciting. But ‘Chicken Royale’ wasn't to be beaten and took over and held onto the lead. Congratulations to our winners and we will see you all back when we commence after the holidays Tuesday the 5th of January at 7pm @ Acacia Ridge Hotel.

21.01.2022 What a great night to finish up hosting after all these years at Eden Brewhouse! Our winning team ‘The Inquizitors’ put up a great fight to take out first place on Tuesday night! The battle for top place looked like it was between ‘Rostrum’ and ‘Brain Explosion’ for most of the night but ‘Quizzly Bears’ kicked into gear in the last few rounds to take out pole position. 20.01.2022 Tuesday night was the night of prizes at Matraville RSL! We had a completely full house and because of that we had one of the most intense competitions ever. Team 'Boomers' made some clever bets and outsmarted all the youngins and got to walk away with $100 in club chips. 'Big Owls' suffered bad luck the entire game but they managed to get a chance at the wheel. Their fortunes turned around and they spun to win the grand prize jackpot of $1100! Even the losers got prizes this week, with 6 of the last teams each getting club vouchers. What will next week be like? Join us next Tuesday 7pm @ Matraville RSL and join in the fun to find out.

19.01.2022 It was another intriguing night of Trivia at Henry Rous in Ballina on Thursday, full of new teams trying to thwart off the efforts of the regular teams. 18.01.2022 Tuesday's Trivia at the Eden Brewhouse didn't present a clear leader in the first few rounds. With the leaderboard constantly shifting, tensions were high but in the final round, the ‘Quitters Who Quit Quitting’, never quitted and took the win out from under everyone's noses! 16.01.2022 Semi-regulars ‘CC Boom!’ returned to the Montague Hotel on Tuesday and had lost any hope of winning by the end of the second bracket. But with an outstanding performance in the ‘It’s a Knockout’ round they took second place, and finally broke out into first place on the final betting question to be declared the winners of the night! 16.01.2022 Unlike the boxing we were up against, we went the distance at Runcorn Tavern on Wednesday! It took "Chicken Avo" a few rounds to get into his stride, but he ended up on top, with a win over "The Woohoos", with "We Met On A Cruise" taking third spot, after a good battle. The second from last place prize went down to the wire, with "F.T.W." taking the prize, right at the death. "Crash Test Dummies" and "The Stallions" both won $10 vouchers on the Wheel of Fortune, too, on the last contest of the year. The action returns to Runcorn Tavern on Wednesday 6th January 2021 at 7pm! Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2021, to all our teams.

15.01.2022 We had a triumphant end to the quizzing at Magpies on Wednesday night! It started off as a close game with the new teams 'Risky Quizness' and 'Holidays' making some early gains. But after a decisive horse race 'Troyas' took the top spot and won by a country mile! Every single team tonight walked away with a prize and we wish every team who's ever played the trivia with us the best possible Christmas time. 13.01.2022 We were joined by a new team on Tuesday night at Acacia Ridge Hotel who streamed to the lead for the first few rounds. But they were soon overtaken by the youngest team of the night ‘Brexit’, who took over and kept getting further ahead with and almost 200 point lead. Congratulations to ‘Brexit’. Everyone is looking forward to our next night of fun at Acacia Ridge Hotel at 7pm next Tuesday.

13.01.2022 We had an excellent night at the Durack on Tuesday, with one team short of a double digit attendance. ‘QIMP’ stole the evening with a very tight race in first place, team ‘SCMU’ battling themselves through the last question and ‘The Captains’ SO close behind the ‘Moody Bitches’. Along the way there was an incredibly tense four-way knockout round and one-woman-band "Testing Myself" excelled in the music questions including Sing That Lyric. We at Time Out want to give a big thank you to all of our loyal venues and players for their continued support of our product. For the venues that have returned after the COVID period we have seen a substantial increase in the average patronage which has been amazing. 10.01.2022 It was a great night at Uncles Tavern on Thursday night, with everyone fighting for the last top spot, but the American group ‘Desert Hunt’ took it out! There were plenty of laughs and plenty of dilemmas, especially with the lies and truth round as the final two people from ‘Jetta‘a Regrets’ and ‘Desert Hunt’ kept picking the same answer but in the end we had to split the points but all in all it was a great evening. 09.01.2022 There we have it folks, the final trivia night at the Pig N Whistle Indooroopilly for 2020! It was another big night with a full room of players. A huge thanks to all for giving it a good send off. Victory went to ‘Denny Crane’, ‘Ryan’s Renegades’ and ‘Tea’. We’ll be back again next year on Tuesday the 12th of January for more trivia fun!

Lots of teams were chasing that win and trying to take down our top two teams. ‘High Rollers’ starting out on a 200 point handicap from their last 2 wins. ‘We Drink and We Know Things’ moving into the lead and hanging on while ‘Back in Black’ moved in to scoop 2nd place. ’High Rollers’ landing on third. 08.01.2022 Trivia at Cookies Lounge Bar made a triumphal return on Thursday with one of our best games yet! We had a completely packed night with more and more teams joining as they saw how much fun we were having. 'TDB' had an excellent game and managed to take the top spot by nearly 2000 points. 'The Dales' (the beardiest team) and 'Baywatch' (the most distracted team) took second and third respectively. When we announced we were going to give away a prize for last we saw some of the most intense points-losing we have ever seen. 'The Fat Yaks' lost by an impressive -180 points. Looking forward to next Tursday 7pm @ Cookies Lounge Bar!

07.01.2022 We had an excellent turnout at the Durack Tavern on Tuesday, with ‘The Oracle’ as a surprise visit from their usual venue. ‘The Oracle’ kept the lead for the first few halves of the game until regulars ‘Moody Bitches’ came bouncing back, but ‘The Oracle’ could not be beaten at the end. Keep in mind our next trivia night is on Thursday 31st December instead of our regular Tuesday, so come join in the fun and celebrations @ Durack Tavern!

"Gibbon" took a couple of round to take the lead but held it til the end, but "The Outsiders" and "V8" couldn't be split for second place. A dead heat! "Moose" took the second from last prize and along with "Tale Of Woe" and "The Proteas" also won $10 vouchers on the Wheel of Fortune! Join us Wednesday nights at Runcorn Tavern, from 7pm. 06.01.2022 Tuesday night was absolutely pumping at Logan Village Hotel and all teams were fighting for the top place. The top 3 spots were consistently changing throughout each round, but ‘Fifth Element’ were the one that took the win. It was a great night to finish off 2020. 05.01.2022 First night back at Joe’s Waterhole on Wednesday, and teams were ready to do battle!! A small war has been going on for months between ‘Stray Cats’ and the girls from ‘Infamous’. 05.01.2022 It was a cruisy night of knowledge and kindred spirits at Quiz Xpress Trivia on Thursday, with many of our regular teams coming back through the doors of local institution, The Katoomba Family Hotel. One new team, whose first foray into the fun and sometimes frustrating world of general knowledge trivia occurred only one week ago, brought themselves back for a second round, this time with a slightly different team-name ‘Cucklords’ (minus Jacob and Olly). They were certainly... happy with their decision, as after a mighty Game, where they certainly put up a good fight though didn't make it onto the Top 3, they won the Wheel of Fortune post-Game Raffle, and a scrumptious 10% at the established Family Hotel bistro! One of our favourite family teams ‘Quiz Hemsworth’ - were back after a long day in the real world to once again cement their status as a clan of super-smart cookies, by coming 1st and winning the not-too-shabby Prize of $75 Cash! Oh, and they also won the It's a Knockout! Round. What'd I tell ya? Smart. Cookies. A team who were long-time regulars of the Family, but new to Quiz Xpress Trivia ‘JATZ’ - played a phenomenal Game and proved their prowess by coming 2nd, and winning $50 Cash! Meanwhile, it was a bit of a mystery as to which team would win 3rd Place and its Prize of $25 Cash.... Deeply rooted team, ‘Thinkers & Drinkers’, looked set to fill this spot, as they once again played brilliantly thanks to their savvy (and sassy!) multi-generational team, though during Round 9 - the Jeopardy Round - stalwart single-player, ‘My Team Name’, did some very careful and fruitful betting, and knocked the former team from their spot in the Top 3 when the final and tenth Round commenced...and there he stayed until the end. 04.01.2022 ‘Fact Hunt’ had their first ever win at the Normanby on Wednesday, with ‘Pony Soprano’ going into the glue factory coming in second, and only 2 other teams to follow with a positive score at the end. All 15 teams wrote history by going 100% on our last question and betting big, and unfortunately most of us ending on zero- an extremely thrilling way to finish off another incredibly huge night at the Normanby Hotel. 04.01.2022 It was a great night for all involved at Acacia Ridge Hotel on Tuesday. After a week off last week ‘Him and Me’ came back refreshed and ready to play. 02.01.2022 A group of experienced infusioners filled the room for the next instalment of the Montague Hotel Tuesday Trivia night. Wits were matched and friendship forged as our regular team ‘The Kokonutz’ enlisted the help of ‘The Mandolorians’ and took out the top prize. 01.01.2022 At the Normanby Hotel on Wednesday, ‘Franetics’ and ‘Sutto Is Here’ were the ONLY teams not ending on a 000 from the last 100% betting question. What a race it was towards the finish line, with every single team out of our 13 groups, besides one team, going for 100%. It was an absolutely smashing return and nail biting evening on the first return of our Wednesday nights after our temporary Thursdays. We already have 15 groups booked for our themed night next week (Hawaiian Dress Code). So join us @ the Normanby Hotel for Infusion the gameshow next Wednesday 7pm start.
