22.01.2022 I’m Back into the swing of working on custom paint jobs and as I do, because I hate waiting for paint to dry, I’m working on 3 pieces at a time. This gorgeous, gigantic meat safe is being painted to match my customers current decor. Her dilemma was that she loved the piece as it was, and so did I, but it was too dark and dominating for her current taste in decor style. The options were to get rid of it or paint it to fit in. I think my customer has made the right choice..., I don’t think I would have been able to part with it either if it was mine. This is a story I hear too often particularly with old or antique pieces. My theory is that it is yours to do with it as you please. The majority of antiques and older pieces of furniture don’t have much value in the current market, people just don’t want them as they don’t match current trends. In the end, it is just paint, and down the track if someone wants to strip it back and restore it again, they can. I would rather see people enjoying these beautiful pieces rather than having them hidden in a shed out the back, collecting dust and deteriorating or worse still, ending up in land fill. And by the way....this piece has evidence that she was once painted....green! See more
19.01.2022 This lovely 2 Tier shelf has been constructed using recycled timber by my 95 year old Dad in his workshop that he loves to spend time in making various items. This shelf could be used as a Plant Stand, bathroom or dining area shelf, or anywhere you would like a little extra storage. It has been stained with a Hickory coloured stain allowing the features of the timber to remain visible. Accessories not included. Pick up from Narre Warren South, 3805. Advertised elsewhere. $110

17.01.2022 I’ve pledged to GO PINK for the month of June to help raise funds for research into Breast Cancer. As someone who has fought and won, I understand the impact BC has on a persons life and that of the people around them. We may never be able to stop men and women from getting breast cancer, but the hope is that one day, in the not too distant future, There will be no deaths from BC. 14.01.2022 I am so excited that I can finally reveal my latest transformation completed. This delightful doll house was made about 30 years ago by my Dad for my niece. Today, her own little girl turns 3 and after a much needed reno, this is sure to put a smile on a very special little girls face! I only wish I could be there to see it myself. This transformation has brought me so much joy knowing that this doll house will bring many years of happiness to a special little girl. The... situation we find ourselves in at the moment means that we haven’t been able to see or visit them for months....but my thoughts were with them the entire time I was working on this project and I wanted it to be very special. The brief I was given was to repaint, add roof tiles and curtains. It needed to be so much more than that for this little girl. In times like these when I feel so helpless, being able to work on something that I can put so much love into, and knowing that it will be treasured, eases the hurt I feel just a little less. 14.01.2022 This beautiful, ornate chest of drawers has recently been refurbished using eco friendly paint specifically developed for furniture painting. The coal black colour enhances the lovely carved detail of this piece giving it a lovely elegant appearance. 10.01.2022 So my first week of leave didn’t go as planned....I did however get a little bit of time in my shed and I’m currently working on a complete house renovation. Well, a doll house renovation. This dolls house was built about 30 years ago for Mum and is about to be passed on to her daughter. This is a project that I am loving doing. It’s for a very special 2 year old girl who is battling leukaemia at the moment, plus multiple infections, numerous treatments and medical procedu...res, plus the restrictions of Covid, but despite it all, she has the most gorgeous smile on her face, most of the time. It puts the situation we find ourselves in, into perspective. There are many people doing it much tougher at the moment and I hope this dolls house will bring her so much joy when she’s well enough to play with it. My mind is on her and her family the entire time I’m working on it, I’m going overboard with the changes I’m making, but in a time when we all feel so helpless to support those who are needing it, this is something I can do. I know that she will love it and will have so much fun playing with her little people in it. See more

10.01.2022 For the first time in a long time I only have one piece of painted furniture for sale. I am so grateful to my customers who support my small business by purchasing my Transformed pieces or asking me to work my magic on their own pieces. It seems that as we are starting to come out of isolation my bookings for custom work are growing by the day. I am looking forward to spending time back out in my shed.....creating, transforming and putting lots of love into each piece t...hat is entrusted to me. 09.01.2022 I’m just a tad excited that I am now on leave from my other job and have 6 weeks of free time ahead to bust out the creativity, get out in my shed and do what truly makes my soul happy! I have a few custom jobs already booked in but would welcome more. I also have plenty of pieces in my stash that I have been looking forward to transforming, including this lovely set of drawers. So, looks like I’ll be spending lots of time in my happy space and I’ll have lots to share with you over the coming weeks.
09.01.2022 Well hello everyone. I’m back!!!!! I hope that you are all well and starting to feel better about our circumstances here in Melbourne. Haven’t we been experiencing some strange times!!!!! The enforced restrictions certainly put the brakes on my business but I am happy to say that with the easing of the lock down I am finally able to start up again, well at least to those who live within 25km of me. I have a few pieces that I have been working on whilst in lock down that I will be listing for sale today. I hope you love what you see. They certainly helped me keep my sanity whilst I was trapped at home! Here is a sneak peek of a couple of pieces. 06.01.2022 Things have been a little bit quiet on my page....actually, silent! As is everyone’s case at the moment, life is very different for us all and my focus has been elsewhere. I have only been working in my shed sporadically and have been concentrating on a very special project. I finished and delivered it yesterday and can’t wait to see photos of the reveal today. You’ll be able to see it for yourselves later today. We’re renovating our laundry at the moment so my pa...inting expertise is being worked elsewhere and my house looks like a bomb has gone off, so once these jobs are in order I’ll be back in my shed doing what I love most.
