19.01.2022 Day 1 of the Sports GT supports for the Supercars is over. What a day! We had a bit of everything, oil pressure, oil temp warnings, front hub collapse, it was all going on! Thanks to Gary and Steve for your help today, we managed to work our way through the issues and get back out on the track and according to Natsoft we have put the car on pole for B class. ... We have 2 races tomorrow, race one at 8:50am and race 2 at 11:55am. 17.01.2022 Well as most would know, this weekend is the TCRC Round 4. Today was our normal systems check and Saturday practice. Unfortunately this didnt go to plan. First session was ok just easing back into it, then in the second session we developed a stutter going up the hill under load. Knowing instantly that it wasnt right, I came into the pits. We couldnt diagnose it at the track, so loaded the car up and took it to fellow racer Roger Whites workshop. Going through the motions... and off with the valve covers and bang! No1 intake spring is broken Not much we can do, so there will be no racing for us this weekend! But as they say, thats motor racing for you! 10.01.2022 Repair time! Spent the day pulling the engine down for checks after the broken spring. Thankfully the damage was limited to a broken valve spring and we didnt kiss a piston! 07.01.2022 Day 2 is all over. Started the day off as the first category out on a wet a slippery track. Quite tricky conditions, but it dried out towards then end of the race and remained dry for the rest of the day. Car still has some issues with sensors and warnings that we are trying to sort our way through, so we are well off our normal pace at this track. ... We will be back on track tomorrow at 10:10 for race 3 and 3:50 for race 4. We were extremely lucky and it was only a broken valve spring. 07.01.2022 Some exciting news for us here at TMR. An opportunity has presented itself over the off season for us to upgrade to a new vehicle. Some may know the car from the Tilford Auto Group racing page, with a change of direction and vehicle for Tilford, it has enabled TMR to do a deal Dont fret, the AU will still be around (not sure in what capacity yet) but we are all systems go to finish off the new BF GT to get it ready for the upcoming season. ... 05.01.2022 Well, the Sports GT Supercars support weekend is over! What a weekend of highs and lows. As mentioned before we had everything going on this weekend. A failed front hub on Friday, Oil temp warnings, Oil Pressure warnings and then in the last race today we had the brake pedal go soft. So it looks like we have a bit of work and maintenance to do on the car over the next few weeks. Unfortunately our Sports GT category was low on entrants this year and we only had 3 cars in our c...lass. That being said, we were able to manage our issues and come away with the overall win for the weekend. We have good clean racing all weekend with our class and have such a great bunch of competitors. I need to thank everyone that helped out over the weekend to keep us on the track. Brad from Boost Automotive for checking the Motec and providing advice and support with our sensor faults. Bill for ongoing support with the Dunlop Tyres, Jason from Tilford for delivering 2 new front hubs for us on Saturday, Andrew from Performance Autos & Brakes for a couple of fittings to help sort some extra sensors for the engine to monitor the oil pressure faults. And of course the guys that help crew on the car. Jay, Gary and Stephen, appreciate your hard work and early starts and dedication to keeping the car on the track. We are using the iracing platform and at the Tsukuba track in the Ford Mustang FR500S. Thanks must go to Otis from Cordwell Racing for setting this up and getting it all organised. ... 02.01.2022 Motorsport can be cruel at times, especially when your playing with engines! We had the car on the dyno yesterday at CP Performance with Shane weaving some magic over the Motec and running some system checks in preparation for TCRC round 5 this weekend. As you can see in the video, everything was going well, however later in the day the engine has developed an issue and now needs to come part for some diagnosing to see what has happened.... Its unfortunate and not how we expected things to go, not sure at this stage if it is related to the original valve spring failure or if it is something completely different. Either way that is our season over. Time to take a step back and reassess what we are doing and want to achieve. Thanks to all of our sponsors, supporters and followers of the page.
