24.01.2022 Have you ever tried yoga? Myself and Cr James O'Shea gave it a try this week as part of Toowoomba Region’s change project. This award winning idea seeks to get our Region fit, healthy and moving by offering a variety of low or no cost health and fitness ideas. ... I must say I was nervous trying this. I was a bit sore the next day but actually enjoyed it. Thanks to Brikman Yoga for partnering with TRC for this initiative. Check out our Change Project! Everything from Jamie Oliver to karate classes!

24.01.2022 Great to see David Crisafulli MP, leader of the LNP in Queensland and deputy leader in Queensland David Janetzki MP (my local member) last night. This house is changing the game in design, heating and cooling in green, energy efficient ways. It’s a real asset to our Region that can be heated by a hairdryer. ... House designed by LAB designs, built by Nathan at Titanium Homes and bought to market by RealWay Lifestyle Marketing by Flair Marketing and PR Salt Studios Commercial I look forward to seeing more of this ingenuity in our housing market. #toowoombaregion #toowoombaliving #toowoombalocal #thefutureisbright

22.01.2022 The RWJ Group and their subsidiary Rawinkk are a great example of businesses in Toowoomba Region who are class leaders in the national and international market. This hardwood sleeper was very light and digitally printed before our eyes on an MDF composite. The printer is the only one in the world doing pinpoint accuracy, UV cured, instant dry designs at this level. These guys are changing the design game with clients throughout Australia and are huge in the resort market. T...hey are a great asset to our Region. Cr Nancy Sommerfield - Toowoomba Regional Council, Councillor Rebecca Vonhoff for TRC and Megan O'Hara Sullivan doing the heavy lifting with me.

Thanks is an understatement. I know they are already planning for 2021.

12.01.2022 It was great to drop into Highfields Falls this morning to see the great work being done by volunteers from Friends of Land for Wildlife Toowoomba stripping the privet bushes and planting natives in their place. Students from Toowoomba Christian College joined them for this project as part of their end of year community service commitments, which is a great initiative. Our parks constantly battle invasive weeds. It is great that volunteer groups spend the time to keep them ...looking beautiful. TRC can play its part through our grants program and continuing to make it accessible for volunteers to volunteer. Thanks Penny, Max, Kelly and Jane from FEP and TCC. #toowoombaregion #highfields #thefutureisbright

03.01.2022 Very encouraging to sit down with the exec and members of the Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club last night and talk about solutions. There are a number of issues that have arisen lately, all complex in nature. We put all the cards on the table and looked for a way to continue to work with ALL stakeholders for the continued growth and profile of this sport in @toowoombaregion . I must say, the passion for our trails around this table was infectious. Our mountain biking trails are ...a tremendous community asset, often built by volunteers. Local bike shops are doing a roaring trade as this sport continues to build momentum. I have said many times that our escarpment is the envy of many. Careful planning and management are key as we move forward.

01.01.2022 Thought I’d sneak out in between rain showers for a quick mow today. I admired how green the back lawn was becoming after only a few rain days. My joy was short lived, however. It ended up being one of my worst moments of #dadlife ... Yep. I’m that guy. I mowed the Christmas lights. Lucky they are solar. Sorry fam.
