25.01.2022 Burgers for Charity A few weeks ago, A team of enthusiastic volunteers from Churchie's Biggs House cooked up and sold hundreds of burgers for students at our school, with all proceeds going to the Timor Children’s Foundation. The Biggs Burger Charity Event has been a tradition in our House for years, and it is our pleasure this year to be raising funds for such a worthy cause. Biggs House values community service very highly, and thus we are supportive of and extremely grateful for the work done by The Timor Children’s Foundation, in giving children less fortunate than ourselves an opportunity to live a better life. We look forward to doing more collections and charity events in the future to raise money for The Timor Children’s Foundation, and continue to support their ongoing efforts.

19.01.2022 The TCF Committee applauds Rev Robert (Bob) Mitchell who was awarded an AM in the General Division of the Order of Australia this year. Bob was recognised for his contribution and significant service to the community through charitable organisations, and to the Anglican Church of Australia. In 2002 he was the founder of the Timor Children’s Foundation. The award acknowledges him for this role, along with many others.

17.01.2022 It has been wonderful to receive feedback after our first virtual Luncheon presentation on the weekend. Please let us know what you thought or share your favourite part. World Relief Australia provide our tax deductible status for the scholarship project. One of their staff sent the following message: "Congratulations! What a great way to run your annual get-together. It was a real pleasure to be part of this virtual update, to put faces to names and to hear your latest news."
17.01.2022 Thanks for all the support so far this year. The Foundation has been able to support a record number of scholarships and we are delighted to be making a difference to young people in East Timor.
16.01.2022 DONATIONS OF FABRIC One of the things we are passionate about at TCF is assisting females to continue learning and complete their courses. To assist with this female scholarship recipients are given a hygiene pack each year containing washable sanitary pads. The local enterprise in Timor who sews the products has run out of flannelette material. We are seeking donations of fabric during March so the team visiting in April can deliver them.
