21.01.2022 Now available at https://www.austinmacauley.com/book/saudade ________________________________________________________ Yet back then I was self-fulfilling decadence, in every sense of the word, I would move from broad to broad, reaping a new ‘romance’ at every corner I could find and when I was bored of the one I just had, I would leave, no tears or beseeching would forbid me from that as it was my cycle, it was everyone’s cycle, so how could I take any blame? 03.01.2022 Now available at https://www.austinmacauley.com/book/saudade ___________________________________ Why did he waste a moment on her emotions? Why did he charade care and comfort in such a pointless endeavour, this would not benefit he, or I, or anyone but her, yet that did not bother him, he could focus on any other ambition to better his own token, but instead he wastes his time on this nonsense. That is how I looked at it back then, now I wonder, if it is we, whom boast our o...wn hubris and achievement and advance alone on this single track who are the ones wasting their time, and he are the few who enlighten those shrouded by darkness, for he was enclosed by it too, and he wanted nothing more than the liberation of those poor souls; he would free them from the loneliness, for he knew the horrors it held. But he was a fool like her; for he was lying to her, every day you will commit to your usual inclinations, feeling no penitence for past or future, and only bask in the indifferent immaturity that is worth more than every life around you, yet we all have a deep rooted want, wealth, fame, power, gregariousness, anything. Those wants are achievable, very much so, but as wants can be anything; those wants that relate to others, wanting things from others cannot be sated, for you cannot rely on another, for they only wish to complete their objective, all else is subordinate, all else is pointless. When inexperience fades away, all that is left is that yearning. See more
