23.01.2022 An important update on mask wearing, from 11.59pm this Sunday

15.01.2022 We’ve extended the Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme until 28 March 2021, so Victorian small business tenants have more time to negotiate a fair agreement on rent relief with their landlords. The Scheme includes a free mediations service for commercial tenants and landlords to resolve disputes over rent relief, a moratorium on commercial tenancy evictions for for some small to medium enterprises, and a freeze on rent increases during the moratorium.

15.01.2022 An important update from the Premier.

12.01.2022 Victoria will establish a new permit system for all domestic travel into the state, helping to support Victoria’s rapid contact tracing efforts and giving Victorians greater certainty when they travel. It will be based on a traffic light system that allows Victoria to designate regions in other parts of Australia as green, orange or red, depending on the coronavirus risk in a particular area. Zones will be declared by the Chief Health Officer, based on the public health risk ...for coronavirus transmission and mean that certain restrictions will apply for travellers from that area. The new permit system will go live from 5.59pm today. Current permits including transit and worker permits will remain valid, so long as they are consistent with public health’s advice on zones. As part of the permit application, you will also be asked whether you have any COVID-19 symptoms, whether you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or are a close contact with someone who has and whether you have visited particular exposure sites. Under the new system, and based on the latest advice of our public health experts, regional NSW, including the Central Coast will be reclassified as an orange zone. That means local residents, as well as Victorians holidaying in these areas, will be able to enter Victoria if they isolate upon their arrival, get tested and stay home until they receive a negative test result. More information will be made available through the Service Victoria portal linked in the comments section below.

07.01.2022 We’re announcing timetable changes for Victoria’s rail network from 31 January 2021. Werribee line passengers will soon benefit from 60 new services each week. 20 of those services will be across the busy morning period as we welcome people back to public transport - giving passengers more space on trains and platforms.... This is on top of the 10 new services added in July. New timetables are now available at ptv.vic.gov.au.

05.01.2022 The Victorian Government supports local community organisations to preserve, record and share local history for the benefit of all Victorians. So many local community groups play a role in preserving our history. Thank you for the work you are doing to take care of such important elements of Victoria’s collective memory. The Local History Grants Program is now accepting applications to support this work of up to $15,000 per project, managed by Public Record Office Victoria.... Applications close at midnight on Tuesday 9 March 2021.
