18.01.2022 Another week done...another lockdown week to come. From the team here at TDG Onsite Mechanical Repairs I just wanted to say stay safe and if we all do our bit we will come out the other side again. 11.01.2022 Introducing a little side project of ours: The budget Subaru Impreza Track Car. We’ve had the car approximately 4.5 years now and have had some fun at some amazing tracks like Sandown, Phillip Island and our very own Bryant Park Hill Climb where I was part of of team that came 3rd at the CAMS Club Challenge ‘19, but at my last outing in January the car developed a problem... The original EJ20 decided to let the cylinder pressure into the sump via No.2 and convert the engine ...oil into a 10W30/BP Ultimate mixture. This occurred only a short time before I was supposed to have my first test run in the car at Winton Motor Raceway...soooo I took my Gemini instead, slower but so much fun! So we did a deal with a friend and now we’re putting the complete running gear from a 2005 Subaru Liberty in the Impreza...its a snug fit...so I’ll stay in the same engine class, 1601cc - 2000cc, which I’ve been building the car too BUT I get Quad Cam with Variable Cam Timing and almost an extra 2000RPM gain on the rev limiter along with a much stronger drivetrain!!! This car is a bit of a labour of love and a bit of fun for the family both at the track and for the budding apprentice’s at home. It’s DEFINITELY been a slow process but it will hopefully be an amazing car to drive when its done and from where its come from its already great fun...Hopefully it will raise a few eyebrows too!!! #becauseracecar #bestwife #racecarsandfamily #subaru #impreza #ej20 #viclockdownproject

05.01.2022 Over due for a service...Guess how many Klms since this car got an oil change!!! Fortunately an engine flush removed most of the goo as it seemed to only be in the top end of the engine.
