15.01.2022 What's your story about riding a bike?

06.01.2022 Last week I was chatting to a friend of 38 years on the phone - I was in my office and he was in his car. We'd been chatting for about 3 minutes when I heard this very loud crashing sound,Terry gasped on the other end of the phone "mate I've got to go" and then the line went dead. I frantically tried to get hold of his wife but could not reach her, I eventually got hold of his eldest daughter and told her what had happened. Stories that he was badly hurt, that he was holding ...a phone to his head, that he had perhaps injured or killed someone else, all raced through my head. As it turned out he had been rear ended whilst sitting at the lights and was in fact using a hands free phone unit at the time. It reminded once again how powerful the stories we create about an unknown reality can be. Terry is ok despite being hit at high speed by a driver that didn't even brake before hitting him. The driver of the offending vehicle would not apologise evoking some pretty strong reactions (stories) in Terry. The stories we create internally always effect our reality externally.

05.01.2022 This is a great article... Challenge yourself to give your next presentation without powerpoint. You might be a bit scared but I can tell you it's addictive. I suggest you get clear on your "why" know your content ( which you do anyway because you're a pro) and then just go for it Martin Luther King Style. http://www.theguardian.com//powerpoint-thought-students-bu

04.01.2022 Earlier this week I was talking to a mate of mine about social media and how I sometimes feel more vulnerable on it compared to say speaking or mentoring. I think it's worth pondering those ways of communication in which we are more/less comfortable being vulnerable. Vulnerability is a great communication tool; it helps show our humanness, imperfections and expose the truth of our journey. Perfection does not resonate anymore. I think our BS meters have gone beyond that story. It's great to see some of our politicians being a little more vulnerable and less political during this time of global turmoil.
